     Gladys Helmondollar Gladys Meadows, 86, of Kenova, WV, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova. She was born February 21, 1927, to the late Charlie Helmondollar & Verna Maynard Helmondollar. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Bennie Meadows, sisters Edith Stiltner, Mary Magdaline Cook, and Francis Bunn and brothers Wade , Clyde and Wetzel Helmondollar. Surviving is her daughter Connie Bryant of Kenova, WV, brother William Lee “Abe” Helmondollar, five grandchildren, Sharon Gilkerson, Diana Clay, Angela Williamson, Wendy Willis and James Bryant, Jr, and a special niece Maudie Kinser. Friends may call from noon until service time on Wednesday.3 She was buried at Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, Wayne Co., West Virginia.3 She was born on February 21, 1927 at Mingo Co., West Virginia.2,3 As of November 27, 1943,her married name was Meadows.2 She married Bennie Marion Meadows, son of Woodsy L. After her retirement, she became her sister's dialysis nurse and caregiver. She is survived by four children, Raburn L. (Ray) Collins Jr. and wife, Sherry, of Richmond, Va., C. Randolph (Randy) Collins and wife, Katie, of Birmingham, Ala., Barry Neil Collins and wife, Fredia, of Roanoke, and Mary L. Walrond and husband, Jack, of Troutville; three grandchildren, Jeff Metzler and wife, Renee, Cindy Simmons and husband, Tommy, and Cary Collins and wife, Tonya; two step grandchildren, Tom Walrond and wife, Susan, and Greg Walrond and wife, Hong; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Minister Eric Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, June 10, 2011, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Mrs. Collins name to the Salem Church of Christ, 401 West Main Street, Salem, VA 24153. Arrangements by John M. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nina Bowles Collins; sons and daughters-in-law, Raburn L. Collins and wife Fredia of Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jack Walrond of Troutville; one brother, Donnie Collins of Eden, N.C; two sisters, Anne Faulkerson and Mossie Bateman, both of Florida; grandchildren, Jeff, Cary and Cindi; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Lotz Salem Chapel with Mr. Mike Flinchum and Mr. Roy Miller officiating. Entombment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his church, Salem Church of Christ, 401 W. Main St. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:30 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Lotz Salem Chapel. on February 17, 2003.4

Collins and wife Tawnya, his two children, Christian and Danielle Collins; brothers, Ray Lee Collins and wife Sherry Collins of Richmond, Va., and Barry Neal and wife Freida Collins of Roanoke, Va; sister, Mary Waldron and husband, Jack of Roanoke, Va; his mother-in-law, Virginia J. Kelley of Troutville, Va; sisters-in-law, Gloria J. Kelley, Nancy K. (Greg) Sexton, Shirley A. Kelley all of Troutville, Va., and Randie K.
