She was very involved in not only her son and daughter's lives, but her community as well. She never met a stranger and constantly put her heart out for those who needed 1 it. Her workplace, HTF Mechanical Services, was always a second home for her. She was a lifetime member of Christian Fellowship Church: Laurie is survived by her husband, Brian Chitwood; son, Taylor Chitwood and Layura Henley; daughter, Emily Chitwood; mother, Bonnie David Pickeral; brother, Jeremy Pickeral; mother and father-in-law, Billie and Sharon Chitwood; sister and brother-in-law, Brooke and Donald Aheron; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; her beloved cat "Pokey" and her eight closest friends, Lisa, Daryle, Michelle, Shannon, Tanya, Kira, Nina and Renee. Interment followed at David Family Cemetery. on December 4, 2019.²

     Walter Macleatus Mills was buried at Sunset Cemetery, 501 South Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.³ He was born on March 29, 1951 at Radford, Virginia.^1,2,3 He married Peggy Joyce Lovern, daughter of Roy Garfield Lovern and Juanita Martin, on June 13, 1970 at Dublin, Pulaski Co., Virginia.¹ Walter Macleatus Mills died on May 4, 2015 at Virginia at age 64.³ He Walter Macleatus Mills "Mac", 64, of Christiansburg, departed this life Monday afternoon, May 4, 2015. He was born in Pearisburg March 29, 1951, a son of the late Walter Caudill Mills and Essie Beatrice Gilmore Mills. He had been employed as an electrician and auto mechanic before his disability. Mac was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Franklin Emmanuel (Buddy) Mills and Ralph Gilmer Mills. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Michael Mills of Newport, N.C., and Shannon Leslie Mills Zeek and her husband, Donald, of Havelock, N.C; his five grandchildren; and his sister, and her husband, Dwendolyn Mills Lilly and Carry of Christiansburg. Graveside services will be conducted in Sunset Cemetery at Christiansburg. on May 24, 2015.³
