     Opal Catherine Phillips was buried at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, Hamilton Co., Tennessee.³ She was born on June 26, 1935 at Blaker Mills, Greenbrier Co., West Virginia.^1,3,5 As of August 30, 1953,her married name was Welder.¹ She married Robert William "Bob" Welder Sr., son of Rodney William Welder and Edith Virginia Belle Cody, on August 30, 1953 at Greenville, Monroe Co., West Virginia.^1,2,3,4 Opal Catherine Phillips died on March 6, 2003 at Tennessee at age 67.^3,5 She Opal Phillips Welder, 67, of Harrison, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2003. Opal was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area and a member of the Harrison United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Ralph Phillips. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bob Welder; daughter, Diana and her husband, Jeff Woods; son, Rob and his wife, Sue Welder; three granddaughters, Stephannie, Stacey and Jenny Welder; four brothers, S.M. "Buck", Sterling, Riley and David Phillips; several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. on March 9, 2003.⁴

     Randall Charles "Randy" Lively Randall "Randy" Charles Lively, Jul 21, 1958 - Oct 25, 2024. Randall "Randy" Charles Lively, 66, of Hardy, VA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 25, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles (Charlie) and Christine Lively and sister, Debbie Lively. Randy owned and operated C & R Lawn Mower Shop Inc. Charlie (C) & Randy (R) opened the shop in 1973 and Randy closed in 2024 when he became sick, netting him 51 years in business. He built many friendships over those years. Randy loved working in his shop and recognized his customers by their equipment. A man of many talents, Randy could fix just about anything, and we will sorely miss his many skills. Randy proudly showed his love for his Savior in his shop. He was an active member of Halesford Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee and usher. He loved the AWANA program there and served in many capacities. He started out in the mite store, then computed the score results for the AWANA Gran Prix. But he really enjoyed working with the 2nd grade Sparks. Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 38 years, Susan; his children, Jessica (Coleman) Simmons and Travis (Kaitlyn) Lively, whom he loved deeply and was so proud of; and his grandchildren, Easton and Calvin Lively and Adeline and Everlee Simmons, who truly stole his heart and brought him such joy. He also leaves behind numerous family members and dear friends. He will be remembered for his amazing smile. Well done my good and faithful servant. Welder died on May 23, 2002 at Arlington, Tarrant Co., Texas, at age 86.^5,2 She Nova W. Cody, 86, a Licensed Vocational Nurse, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2002 in Arlington, Texas. She was born October 24, 1915 in Marie, W.Va., the daughter of Everett and Etta Mae Welder. She was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist, Richmond, Va., Ladies Auxiliary, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, an employee of Sears Roebuck & Co. for 15 years and worked for St. Elizabeth's Hospital for eight years. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Robert of Arlington, Texas; daughter, Betty Briggs and her husband, George of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren, Gregory, Robert and William Dillard and Susan West; and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services 2 p.m. Saturday at Moore Funeral Home, Arlington, Texas, with burial in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. on May 24, 2002.²
