Bishop, 76, of 20895 US-12 E., died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 4, 2005) at Cass County Medical Care Facility, after an extended illness. She was born Feb. 26, 1929, in South Bend, Ind. to John Sr. and Sophia (Lehman) Zimmer. Her foster parents were John and Ellen Harper. She married Herman L. Bishop on Aug. 14, 1947, in Edwardsburg. She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Myra McGinty of Ariz., Dawn Nyerges and Penny Werner, both of Edwardsburg; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucille McCarthy of Ashville, N.C., and Nelba Mattechette of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by one sister, Nelle Zimmer; and three brothers, John Zimmer, Jr., William Zimmer and Norman Zimmer. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. (Mich. time) Thursday at Connelly Funeral Home, 202 N. Broadway St., Cassopolis, where services will be at 11 a.m. (Mich. time) Friday. Pastor Jeff Reese of Hope United Methodist Church, Edwardsburg, will officiate. Mrs. Bishop was a member of the Genealogy Society of Elkhart, as well as a former 4-H leader, and former Campfire Girls leader. She was a graduate of Southwestern Michigan College School of Nursing, was a homemaker, and was also an LPN who did private nursing. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association or the Cass County Medical Care Facility. on October 6, 2005.³

Mrs. Margaret Hall, 56, of 7425 West Pike, a teacher at McIntire School, died at 12:10 p.m. Sunday at Bethesda Hospital where she had been a patient two and a half weeks following a three-month illness. She was born July 19, 1916 in Crooksville, the daughter of Arthur and Blanche Conaway Smith. She had resided in the area about ten years. Mrs. Hall formerly taught at Wilson School. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Rev. R. Lee Hall, a step-daughter Mrs. Myron (Elnora) Decker of Corning; two step-sons, Robert Hall of Los Angeles, Calif. and Ira David Hall of Boston, Mass; a brother, Corwin Smith of 12 East Main Street, South Zanesville; five step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren, a niece and three nephews.      Keith Craig Hall was born on December 15, 1951 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., California.² He married Susan J. Lemke on September 6, 1980 at Los Angeles Co., California.³ Keith Craig Hall died on November 11, 2013 at Newport Beach, Orange Co., California, at age 61.¹

     Dorothy W. Doll Dorothy Doll Hall, 91, of Evans Falls, Tunkhannock, died Sunday evening Jan. 10th 2016 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. She was born in Evans Falls on July 30, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Beulah Warden Doll. Dorothy was a graduate of the Montrose High School and she graduated from the Mansfield State Teachers College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Home Economics in 1944. She was married for more than 66 years on Dec. 22, 1945 to late Ira David Hall who passed away in 2012. Dorothy was a representative of the Iroquois Gas Corporation, Buffalo and the Home Service Gas Corporation, Buffalo. She was a home service supervisor for the Pa Power and Light Company from 1945 until 1948 supervising the Wilkes-Barre, Division. She joined the General Electric Appliance Co. in 1954 where she held the position as Home Service Director in Allentown. Dorothy specialized in demonstrating appliances, training dealers, TV commercials and demonstrations, instructing consumer group’s. Dorothy and her husband moved to Framingham Massachusetts to follow her husband’s career at Liberty Mutual. Dorothy and her husband returned to her parent’s farm in Evans Falls to care for her parents after Dave’s retirement. They enjoyed their retirement making improvements and caring for the family farm. She was a member of the Evans Falls United Methodist Church where she was baptized and she later played the piano and organ. Dorothy and Dave helped with many maintenance repairs and water control at the church. In addition to her husband and parents Dorothy is preceded in death by two brothers Paul Doll and Lewis Elwood Doll and two nephews Paul “Skip” Doll and Casey Hall. Dorothy is survived by nieces and nephews: Roberta Davis, E. Charles Doll, Patricia Campbell (Forrest), Barbara Spalding (Jack), Diana Dates (Daryl), David Hall (Teri), and William Hall (Susanne) A special thanks to all the caregiver’s and helpers that cared for Dorothy at her house in Evans Falls. Funeral services will be held Sun. Jan 17th at, 3pm. from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Rev. Betty Reilly of the Evans Falls United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at the Orcutts Grove Cemetery, Noxen on Monday Jan. 18th at 11am.
