Born Nov. 24, 1921, at Garten, she was the daughter of the late Vernie McCelland. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Epperly, in 1993, as well as a son, Jerry Wayne Epperly, and brothers, George Young, Ray Young and Harold Young. Juanita was a homemaker and a member of the Fayetteville Baptist Church. Upon moving to Toledo, OH she worked for the Flower Hospital for 25 years specializing in the newborn nursery. She was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus. She was a former member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Toledo, OH; Atonement Lutheran Church and Faith Lutheran Church in Sebring, FL. She was an associate member of Flower Hospital Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. Survivors: Sons, Michael P. Epperly and wife Carolyn of Allentown and Mark A. Epperly and wife Helene of Scottsdale, AZ; Sister, Virginia Nusbaum of Chillicothe, OH; Grandchildren, Kathryn Grace, Douglas Epperly, Charles Epperly, and Alison Epperly; Great Grandchildren, Heather, Ryan, Kristen, Michael and Adrian. Lois was valedictorian of the 1946 graduating class of Wayland High School at Wayland, Ky. and completed the rest of her education at Ashland’s School of Commerce in 1947. She retired from Harvey’s Auto Parts at 13th & Carter in Ashland where she was a bookkeeper for 50 years. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Family Lighthouse Church of God on U.S. 60. She is survived by two daughters, Janie Edge of Frankfort, Ky. and Beverly Sue (Rex) Satterfield of Ashland, Ky; three grandchildren Cheryl (Justin) Clay of Alabama, Crystal (Josh) Stiles of Lincoln NE and B.J. Satterfield of Ashland, Ky.³ Her married name was Porter.³ She married Oscar Randolph Porter.³ Lois M.
