He enjoyed music and shared a love for playing string instruments while spending time with friends and family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Bragg; one brother, Melvin Bragg and special uncle, Jesse "Buddy" Bragg. He is survived by his daughter, Audrey Bragg of Hinton; a son, O. Mathew Bragg Jr. and wife Virginia of Hinton; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard Bragg of Salem, VA, George Bowling of TX, and Stanley Bragg of Hinton; one sister, Geraldine Breeding of VA; one sister-in-law, Mary Bragg of Hinton along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. on June 21, 2011.⁵
