She was born in Roanoke, on June 20, 1945. She was the oldest daughter of the late Fred Lee Harris and Audrey Easter Meador. Janice worked in customer service for Robertson Marketing before retirement. She loved crocheting and sewing in previous years. She also enjoyed reading and listening to music, especially James Taylor and Simon & Garfunkel. Her family and friends will miss her greatly. Janice is survived by her loving son, Don R. Wimmer Jr. and his wife, Cynthia Spigle; two sisters, Marcia Oubre and her husband, Jay and Lynna Sloan and her husband, Roger; nephew, Chad Sloan; and nieces, Rachael Sloan, and Theresa Chielens and her husband, Klaas. Also surviving are numerous other friends and family, especially Victoria Shaver for much love and support in the last few years. on July 29, 2021.2

He was a resident of Davy the greater part of his life, a coal miner and member and former chief of the Davy Fire Department. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the Army. He was a former employee of the City of Welch, a member of the American Legion Post 8 in Welch, a member of local union 5997 of the UMWA, and a former employee of Jackson Associates of Pineville. He was preceded in death by, in addition to his parents, his first wife, Joyce Ruth Barnett Cox; one son, Richard Allen Cox; one brother, Carlos Cox; and one sister, Georgia Cox. Survivors include his second wife, Shelby Blankenship Cox of Davy; two sons, Roger Cox of Davy, Wilburn Cox Jr. and wife Judy of Greenville, S.C; one daughter, Rebecca Sizemore and husband Robert of Greenville. S.C; one daughter-in-law, Diana Cox of Raysal; one ex-daughter-in-law, Paula Williams of South Carolina; three sisters, Ella Mae High of Hemphill, Emmaline Sigmon of Callaway, Va., Agnes Sexton of Bluefield, Va; one brother, Charles Buddy Cox of Hemphill; one stepson, James Cooley Jr. of Raleigh, N.C; two stepdaughters, Delana Cooley and companion Randy Frasher of Twin Branch, Carmella Bennett and husband Anthony of Davy; nine grandchildren, Bobby Sizemore, Crystal Martin and Adam Cox all of South Carolina, Zachary and Tiffany Cox of Raysal, Randall Frasher Jr. of Twin Branch, Jamie Cooley of the home, Alexia and Jeremy Bennett of Davy; three great-grandchildren. Kara and Conner Sizemore, and Lillie Ray Martin all of South Carolina; and a host of nephews and nieces. She co-founded Heavenly Manna Food Bank and worked there for almost 15 years giving it up for health reasons. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church cemetery. on November 6, 2016.2

Funeral services will be conducted from Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. on February 26, 2002.5
