Melva Lou Farrington Melva Lou Roberts, 87, of Princeton died suddenly early Wednesday afternoon, March 24, 2021 from a broken heart following the death of her soul mate, her husband Bonnie. Born October 14, 1933 at McComas, she was the daughter of the late Carl Farrington and Gladys Virginia Shrader Farrington. Melva graduated from McComas High School. She had formerly work as a cook at Straley Elementary School and retired from Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. She was a devoted member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband five days ago, Bonnie Wayne Roberts. Those left to cherish her memory, three children, Frederick Mark Conner, Clarence Edward Roberts (Bobbie June) and Jeannie Lynn Burns; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Belcher of Bluewell and Zona Erdim of Lynchburg VA. Huddleston, age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 8, 2020 and now rests safely in the arms of Jesus. Bobby was one of 14 children, with seven brothers and six sisters who were born to the late Clarence and Rosa Huddleston and raised in Bedford County, Virginia. He was always a dedicated worker and loved to garden. His specialty was refinishing fine furniture, and often said he would re-finish every piece of furniture except a piano! He loved and was a faithful member of Roanoke Valley Baptist Temple. He also attended Faith Baptist and loved Sunday Night Services there. Graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on November 10, 2020.3
