     Melvin Thomas "Tom" Foley was buried at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, Brevard Co., Florida.^3,5 He was born on August 30, 1928 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2,6 He married Evelyn Rosamond Garst on January 19, 1952 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.¹ Melvin Thomas "Tom" Foley and Evelyn Rosamond Garst were divorced on June 17, 1964 at Roanoke, Virginia.⁷ Melvin Thomas "Tom" Foley married Juanita Rose "Jo" Carrico in November, 1965 at Brevard Co., Florida.^8,4 Melvin Thomas "Tom" Foley died on April 23, 2014 at Florida at age 85.^6,3 He Melvin Thomas "Tom" Foley passed away peacefully, at home, in his sleep at the age of 85 on April 23, 2014. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Jo, parents, George and Clara Foley, brother Bobby, and nephew Michael Foley. Tom and Jo were the founders of Cape Kennedy Medals with the beginning of the space industry. Their most recent business was creating Space World-USA. Other than family, this was their passion in life for 46 years. Tom is survived by his daughter Debbie Foley Graham, who devoted so much love and care during his time of need, five stepchildren Benny and Tony Tickle, Kay Altes, Becky Hamilton, and Shelba Akers all of Virginia; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. A very special thank you to Monica Bernard for taking loving care of our Dad. Interment will be in Florida Memorial Gardens. on April 26, 2014.³

     Evelyn Rosamond Garst Evelyn Garst Jones, 91, of Salem, Va., went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 22, 2023. Evelyn was born to the late Elise Wood Garst and Willis Christian Garst on, Saturday, June 25, 1932. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Jones; sisters, Betty Jean Harris, and Shirley Garst Maupin; brothers, Richard Calvin Garst, Willis “Bill” Christian Garst, Jr. Evelyn was a kind-hearted individual who possessed immense love and compassion for everyone she knew. She had a great sense of humor that she kept alive up until her last breath. However, her most important role in life was being a mother. Her love for her daughter was unwavering and surpassed everything else. Her devotion to her daughter’s success was proven many times over as she worked tirelessly as a single parent, making sure Debbie had everything she needed, including a college education. Additionally, Evelyn was a long-time member of Salem Baptist Church, where numerous friendships were made. She has spent the last 25 years living at Richfield Living at Ridgecrest where she enjoyed meeting new friends and enjoyed time spent. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Deborah Lyn Graham; sister-in-law, Cecilia D. Garst; nephews, Rick, Russ, Scott, and Buck; and niece Beth.² She was born on June 25, 1932 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2 As of January 19, 1952,her married name was Foley.¹ She married Melvin Thomas "Tom" Foley, son of George Melvin Foley and Clara Mabel Poff, on January 19, 1952 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.¹ Evelyn Rosamond Garst and Melvin Thomas "Tom" Foley were divorced on June 17, 1964 at Roanoke, Virginia.³ Evelyn Rosamond Garst died on December 22, 2023 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 91.²

     Emmett Hugh Thurlo was buried at Farmington Community Cemetery, Farmington, Davie Co., North Carolina.^2,4 His Social Security Number was 444-26-0079.³ He was born on May 26, 1930 at McPherson, McPherson Co., Kansas.^1,2,3,5,4 He married Odrie Arlington Bowling, daughter of Oswell Cooper Bowling and Ocie Edith Poff, on September 27, 1952 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,4 Emmett Hugh Thurlo died on July 20, 2007 at Mocksville, Davie Co., North Carolina, at age 77.^2,3,6,5,4 He MOCKSVILLE - Mr. Emmett Hugh Thurlo of Davie County passed away Friday, July 20, 2007, at his home. He was born May 26, 1930, in Kansas and was a charter member of Cornerstone Christian Church. He served for nine years in the U.S. Navy and retired from AT&T after 33 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Odrie Bowling Thurlo of the home; a daughter, Connie Thurlo Ellis (Jr.); two sons, Timothy Thurlo (Donna), and Chad Thurlo (Lisa); seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial followed in Farmington Community Cemetery. on July 26, 2007.⁴
