     Patrick Nelson Ramsey Patrick Nelson Ramsey, 58, of Bedford County, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at his home. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy and was employed as a manual machinist working in the Roanoke-Bedford area. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Nelson Ramsey and is survived by his wife of 37 years, Althea L. Ramsey; three sons, Stuart Nelson (Brandy) Ramsey, Adam Nelson (Leah) Ramsey, Matthew Nelson Ramsey; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jason; his mother, Muzetta Ramsey; and sister, Melanie Ramsey. Military Honors by the U. S. Navy.² He was born on December 31, 1955 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,4 He married Althea Lynn Hawley on August 5, 1977 at Roanoke, Virginia.¹ Patrick Nelson Ramsey died on June 7, 2014 at Bedford, Bedford Co., Virginia, at age 58.^2,3

     Billy Terry Thomas Sr. was buried at Thomas Family Cemetery, Route 1, Matoaka, Mercer Co., West Virginia.⁴ His Social Security Number was 236-48-6719.⁵ He was born on February 15, 1934 at Lamar, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^2,5,6,3 He married Frances Gale Poff, daughter of Thomas Edgar Poff and Blanche Ann Bailey, on October 1, 1955 at Lamar, Mercer Co., West Virginia.² Billy Terry Thomas Sr. died on August 10, 1992 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 58.^5,4 He Billy Terry Thomas, 58, of Route 1, Matoaka, was dead on arrival Monday at a Princeton hospital. Born at Lamar, he was a son of Kathleen Copley Thomas of Matoaka and the late Raymond Burnell Thomas. He was a former heavy equipment operator last working for the I.C. Lilly Coal Co., and was a member of the District 29 and the UMWA Local 8784. He was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by one sister, Shelby Tiller. Additional survivors: wife, Janie Bennett Thomas; sons, Billy Terry Thomas Jr. of Valdese, N.C., and Anthony Thomas of Athens; daughter, Mrs. Sandy Wyatt of Salem, Va; brother, Jesse Thomas of Princeton; two grandchildren. Burial at the Thomas Family Cemetery on Arista Mountain, Route 1, Matoaka. on August 11, 1992.⁴

     Billy Terry Thomas Jr. was born on October 14, 1958 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,2 He married Charlene Lana Wingo on November 10, 1977 at Rich Creek, Giles Co., Virginia.^1,2 Billy Terry Thomas Jr. died on January 13, 2021 at North Carolina at age 62.² He Mr. Billy Terry Thomas Jr., 62, of Hickory, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021. Billy was born Oct. 14, 1958, in Princeton, W.Va., to the late Billy Thomas Sr. and Gayle Poff Perkins. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. Billy was a true friend to everyone, who never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Kathleen Thomas, who raised him; aunt and uncle, Weldon and Shelby Tiller, who loved him like a son; and grandson, Justin Laws. Survivors include his wife, Charlene Wingo Thomas, whom he married Nov. 10, 1977; two daughters, Alisha McGuire and husband, Carmen, and Michelle Yoder and husband, Jason; siblings, Valerie Holt, Sandra Workman, Tony Thomas, Timmy Perkins, and Amber Wells; grandchildren, Zachary Thomas, Brandon Yoder, Theresa Yoder and Shelby Laws; great-grandchild, Aaron Tyler Weddington; cousin, who was like a little sister to him, Connie Tiller; in-laws, Bernard and Beatrice Belcher; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. on January 17, 2021.²

     Her Social Security Number was 227-78-2503.⁵ Anne Lee Butler was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, Virginia.^2,3 She was born on June 24, 1949 at Norfolk, Virginia.^1,2,3,5,4 As of December 18, 1977,her married name was Carter.¹ She married Terry Powell Carter, son of Herbert Leon Carter and Geneva Pearl "Cotton" Poff, on December 18, 1977 at Norfolk, Virginia.¹ Anne Lee Butler died on June 1, 1984 at Norfolk, Virginia, at age 34.^2,3

     Peggy Ann Hayes was buried at Indian Spring Cemetery, Punta Gorda, Charlotte Co., Florida.³ She was born on October 3, 1954 at Cherry Point, Craven Co., North Carolina.^1,2,3 As of December 19, 1977,her married name was Hurley.¹ She married John Joseph Hurley, son of Patrick Joseph Hurley and Eva Mary Poff, on December 19, 1977 at Alexandria, Virginia.^1,2 Peggy Ann Hayes died on November 27, 2015 at Florida at age 61.^2,3 She Peggy Ann Hurley, 61, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2015. She was born Oct. 3, 1954, in Cherry Point, N.C., the daughter of Robert and Margaret Hayes. Peggy was a mother; she loved her children and family without end. Her happiest times were spent out on a softball field or cheering on her children from the bleachers. Peggy was a coach, teacher, loving friend, an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and wife. She was the heart of her family and will be missed by so many. Peggy enjoyed fishing, softball, tennis, traveling and camping. Peggy will be greatly missed by her husband of 38 years, John Joseph Hurley; daughter, Ashley Elizabeth; sons, John Robert, Aaron Patrick, Jacob Raymond and Brandon Joseph; brother, Robert; sisters, Edith and Donna Lee; sister at heart, Jamie; and grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron, Juliet, Benjamin, Luke and Adalyn. on December 2, 2015.²
