She is survived by six children and their spouses, Barbara and Clarence Seay of Spotsylvania, Paula and Jimmy Smallwood of Partlow, Meredith and Donna Carroll of Culpeper, Kenneth and Ingrid Carroll of Partlow, George and Agnes Carroll of Fredericksburg and Charles and Dianna Carroll of Partlow; 12 grandchildren, Laura Hatch, Darlene Barnes, Roger Carroll, Andy Carroll, Nicole Childs, Paul Carroll, Alvin Carroll, Chris Carroll, Sarah Perry, Jason Smallwood, Hollie Delaney and Ashley Smallwood; six step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Javins and Johnny Javins; and six sisters, Clara Smith, Margaret Seay, Shirley Keeton, Evelyn Henley, Mary Gilley and Ethel Watkins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Herbert Carroll; an infant daughter, Bonnie Faire; a grandson, Michael Seay; her parents, Lawrence and Binna Javins; and three sisters, Beckie Blume, Libby Godsey and Florence Martin. A funeral will be held at Travelers Rest Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clyde Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. on December 16, 2004.2

Clarence was a man of faith, belonging to Travelers Rest Baptist Church for over 70 years where he served as Royal Ambassador leader for young boys, drove the church bus, maintained church building and grounds for over 35 years, served as trustee, deacon, and music director for over 50 years. He was faithful to help the aged and needy of the community. Clarence is survived by his wife, Barbara of 64 years; a daughter Laura married to George Hatch; two grandchildren, David Hatch married to Laura Woody; Kristen Hatch married to Ronnie Dixon; two great-grandchildren Adam and Alexis Hatch; three step-great granddaughters Abigail, Kayla, and Jocelynn Dixon; sister Jean Payne Ellis (Glen); and brothers Earl Seay, Jr. and Daniel Seay (Marcia). He was preceded in death by his son, Michael; and parents Earl and Stella Seay. A celebration of life will be held at Travelers Rest Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. on October 12, 2016.4

George Frederick Carroll George F. "Peter" Carroll, 68, of Fredericksburg, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 24, 2009 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Mr. Carroll worked most of his life as a professional driver. He was a devoted family man and an active member of Spotswood Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School Director and in various other duties. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Agnes; his sons, Paul and his wife, Therese and Alvin and his wife, Jennifer; four grandchildren, Blake, Nikki, Toni and Josh; two brothers, Meredith and Charles; two sisters, Barbara Seay and Paula Smallwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Laura and a brother, Kenneth. Agnes Loretta Carneal was buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Four Mile Fork, Spotsylvania Co., Virginia.4,2 She was born on January 15, 1943 at Caroline Co., Virginia.1,2,3 As of June 24, 1961,her married name was Carroll.1 She married George Frederick Carroll, son of Herbert Kenneth Carroll and Laura May Javins, on June 24, 1961 at Snell, Spotsylvania Co., Virginia.1,2 Agnes Loretta Carneal died on March 30, 2021 at Virginia at age 78.2 She Agnes Carneal Carroll, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (known as nana) peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at home. She was born on January 15, 1943 to the late Joseph and Ivy Carneal. Agnes served the Lord faithfully as the Children's ministry/director for 32 years. She was a member of Spotswood Baptist Church for 53 years. Agnes worked and later retired from Spotsylvania County Schools after 30 years as a teacher's aide. Survivors include her children, Paul and Alvin (Jennifer); grandchildren Blake (Mary), Nikki (Nick), Toni Aswegan (Kevin), and Joshua Taylor; great-grandchildren Raylin and Ben; and her sister, Ruth. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; and her brother, Garnett. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. on April 4, 2021.2
