Nelson , Roanoke and Joni B. and Roger Butterworth of Greenville, S.C; six grandchildren, Allan Ham, Jr., Troy Ham, Michelle Miller Bennett, Keith Miller, Cher Nelson and Christopher Giebner; three great-grandchildren, Stone Ham, Jr., Victoria and Jared Bennett; two brothers, Oscar Peters, John Peters, both of Covington; two sisters, Sue Peters Potter, Covington and Marion Peters Gibson, Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo R. Benton, in 1958 and by a son, Anthony Benton Scruggs, in 1972. Interment will follow Saturday at 3 p.m. in Green Lawn Cemetery in Hollidaysburg, PA, with Father Clement G. Gardner officiating. on June 18, 1999.²

She is survived by the following three children: Robert Scruggs II, age 11, Gary Allen Scruggs, nine, and Connie Sue, two, all home. Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Meeks, Mrs. Cornelia Lowman, Mrs. Emily Saul, and Mrs. Maxine Williams, all of Covington. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Arthur W. Hall, Earl West, Jimmy Pyle, Buel Pohlman, Albert Rogers. Alternates will be Raymond Hall and Lester Dudding. Flower girls will be the workers of the B. Shift and the Coning Department of the Industrial Rayon. on August 13, 1959.⁴

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Thomasina. Roger was a member of Newbridge Baptist Church and a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service with 31 years of service. Jr., 61, went home to the Lord on Saturday, June 14, 2014, after an extended illness. Formerly of Richmond, he resided in Waynesboro, Va. He is survived by his daughter, Sara Skeen; sister, Judy Moats; brother, Glenn Skeen; his pride and joy, granddaughter, Zion Carter; and a host of extended family and friends. on June 22, 2014.⁵

     Jean Cochran was buried at Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington, New Castle Co., Delaware.¹ Her married name was Ridgley.¹ She married William Francis Ridgley, son of Ellwood James Ridgley Sr. and Irene Elizabeth Taylor.¹ Jean Cochran was born on December 25, 1948 at Wilmington, New Castle Co., Delaware.^1,2 She died on September 10, 2015 at Wilmington, New Castle Co., Delaware, at age 66.¹ She Jean Ridgley went home to be with her husband and family on September 10, 2015. She was born in Wilmington, DE the late Ralph and Mary Cochran. Jean was a homemaker and enjoyed puzzle books and watching TV. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Ridgley. Jean is survived by her sister, Joyce Beiler, her brother, Ralph B. Cochran, Jr. and many nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. on September 12, 2015.¹
