     Doris Lila Lowther Doris L. Horn (nee Lowther) of Delran and formerly of Burlington Township passed away Tuesday May 18, 2021 at the Laurel Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Mt. Laurel at the age of 86. Born in Delaware Twp. (now Cherry Hill Twp.) to the late Augustus and Daisy Lee (nee Metzger) Lowther, Doris was a longtime resident of Burlington Twp. She was employed for almost 30 years at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington Twp. She worked in a variety of capacities there including as a bus aide and teacher’s aide and also as a custodian. She was very proud to have earned her black seal license. She was a fixture at the school and was loved by staff and students alike. She also loved them, especially the children so working in the school was the perfect career for her. She was very artistic and enjoyed doing many arts and crafts projects. She especially loved flowers and tending to her yard and flower gardens was a passion for her. Doris was predeceased by her husband Norman R. Horn. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law; Diana and Robert Graham and Brenda and Edmund Woods, her grandchildren; Lauren, Ian, Neil, Kyle and Eddie. She is also survived by her sisters in law and many nieces and nephews.5 She was buried at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, Burlington Co., New Jersey.7 She was born on December 12, 1934 at Cherry Hill, Camden Co., New Jersey.5 As of April, 1954,her married name was Horn.3 She married Norman Robert Horn on April 30, 1954 at Bordentown, Burlington Co., New Jersey.3,4,5 Doris Lila Lowther died on May 18, 2021 at Mount Laurel, Burlington Co., New Jersey, at age 86.5

Lowther (Johanna), and Barbara L. Lowther Mettinger (Todd). He was the proud grandfather of Nicole, Lauren and Abagail; brother of Gus Lowther (Janet), Doris Horn, Marion Williamson (Bill), the late Robert Lowther (Irene), the late Ellis Lowther, the late June Waite, the late Katherine Lowther, and the late Agnes Stanley. George also is survived by his very special nephew, Bobby; and a host of nieces and nephews. George's fur babies, Angel, Dusty, Gidget, and Noel will dearly miss him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend George's life celebration and viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at 233 Church Road, Medford, N.J. 08055. His funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Monument Cemetery, Beverly. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in George's name to Medford Crossroads Assembly of God Church and/or ASPCA. on May 3, 2015.1
