She also loved roses, dancing and crossword puzzles. She was a strong woman, full of life and laughter, kindness, generosity, and love. She will be dearly missed. A period of visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012, in the funeral home's chapel. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Burial Park in Roanoke. Layman Jerry McDonald will officiate. on March 2, 2012.4
