Carr; daughter, Brenda Robson and husband, Ron; son, John Reeves; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Oakey's South Chapel. Services will be private. on June 23, 2013.3

Myrtle Louise Ferguson was buried at Argabright Cemetery, Roanoke Co., Virginia.2 She was born on October 11, 1927 at Roanoke, Virginia.2,3 As of September 21, 1946,her married name was Reed.1 She married Lewis Hurt Reed, son of Neva Arell Reed and Virginia Elizabeth Hurt, on September 21, 1946 at Roanoke, Virginia.1 Myrtle Louise Ferguson and Lewis Hurt Reed were divorced on December 13, 1961 at Roanoke, Virginia.4 Myrtle Louise Ferguson died on March 9, 2009 at Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 81.3,2 She Myrtle Louise Ferguson Reed, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, GreatGrandmother, and friend passed away on Monday morning, March 9, 2009, at her home in Southwest Roanoke County, Va. Louise was born on October 11, 1927, in Roanoke. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert Lee and Annie Trent Ferguson; her brother, Paul Auburn Ferguson; two sisters, Lou Thomas and Mary Ann Ferguson. Louise has one remaining sister, Irene Secrist. She is survived by one son, John M. Reed; four daughters and son-in-laws, Cheryl and David Argabright, Kandy and Tim Alderman, Sandra and Alan Smith, Donna and Calvin Holdren; six grandchildren, Angela Ciafardini-Pratt and husband Michael, Dr. Alan Smith, Jr., Dr. Karen Smith, Paul Dull and wife Candice, Trenton Alderman, and Hayley Alderman; and one greatgranddaughter, Madison Bryce Dull. She is also survived by her nephew, Danny Secrist and wife, Diana, and their children Andrea and Andrew. Louise graduated from Jefferson High School in Roanoke and worked for SuperX Drugstores for 24 years and she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude to the many devoted and caring representatives of Gentle Shepherd Hospice, including Rosa Baker and Kelly Buccola, and Mrs. G. Jones of ResCare Home Health Agency. Also, words cannot begin to express the family's heartfelt appreciation to her dearest friends, Joyce Goodwin, Sarena Carter, and Patricia Long, for their love, care and support over the years. The family requests that donations be made to Gentle Shepherd Hospice or the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Funeral service will be held noon on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Oakey's South Chapel with Pastor Curtis Stacy officiating. Interment will follow in the Argabright Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131. on March 10, 2009.2

Mr. Whitenack was a member of Calvary Baptist Church as well as being a member of Virginia Heights Masonic Lodge and then Lakeland Lodge after the two merged. Jack will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and members of both his lodge and Kazim Shrine Temple where he was a member of the Fire Brigade. Jack was preceded in death by a son, David Whitenack, and his mother, Martha Attaway Whitenack Williams. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ann R. Whitenack; a son, Ricky Alan Whitenack; two grandchildren, Heather Whitenack Farrelly and husband, Mike, and Bryan Whitenack. Jack is also survived by a stepsister, Martha Gladwell, Concord, N.C; a stepbrother, Robert Williams and his wife, Anne, of Fincastle; an aunt, Pauline Lloyd; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service with Masonic rights will be conducted in Evergreen Burial Park at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2003, with Dr. Harry Y. Gamble officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Oakey's South Chapel. on December 2, 2003.2

Whitenack; a daughter, Heather Whitenack; a son, Brian Whitenack; his parents, John William ("Jack") and Ann Reed Whitenack, and one brother, Rick Whitenack. Services will be at Oakey's South Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 1998. The Rev. Arthur Grant will officiate. Interment with full police honors will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. Surviving are a niece, Heather Whitenack; nephew, Brian Whitenack, both of Roanoke; an aunt, Martha Daniel, Charlotte, N.C; and an uncle, Robert Williams, of Fincastle; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Ricky was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School, and Radford University where he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge, Master Mason, Taylor and Lakeland Lodges, Kazim Shiners and was an avid fan of British motor cars and all kinds of sports especially softball. A Memorial Service celebrating Rickys life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009, in the Simpson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Walter Wood officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in his name. Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the arrangements, 366-0707. on November 6, 2009.2
