Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Helen Loudin Slater; sons and daughters-in-law, Hansford "Hanky" Slater, Bernard "Buddy" and Trina Slater, Gary Wayne Slater, Steven "Stevie" Slater, and Christopher "Charlie" and Vicky Slater, all of Charleston; daughters and a son-in-law, Sherry and Mike Thomas, Donna "Sissy" Pauley, Betty "Tenny" Walls, all of Charleston; over 100 grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Clifford Burdette officiating. Burial will be in Slater Cemetery, Tuppers Creek. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. on May 13, 2007.⁴

     Anita Lynne Loudin Anita Lynne Loudin, 51, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012, following a sudden illness. Born October 31, 1960, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Margaret Dean Loudin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Taylor Mae Kessinger; a brother, Stephen Loudin; and a nephew, James Loudin. She is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Moore; sons, Ian G. Kessinger of St. Albans, Jesse L. Kessinger of Cross Lanes and Joshua E. Kessinger of St. Albans; brothers, William G. Loudin II, Robert Lee Loudin, John Michael Loudin and Thomas Loudin; sisters, Pamela Jean Loudin and Patricia Ann Loudin; as well as eight grandchildren. A private service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Her married name was Kessinger.¹ Her married name was Moore.¹ She married Thomas R. Moore.¹ Anita Lynne Loudin married Unknown Kessinger.¹ Anita Lynne Loudin was born on October 31, 1960.¹ She died on January 6, 2012 at age 51.¹
