Ernest W. "Ernie" Hall married Mary Helen Peters.2 Ernest W. Hall, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on May 20, 2008. Mr. Hall was born in Union, WV on September 21, 1915. The family moved to Indiana in 1918, and he attended grade school in Connersville and graduated from high school in Knightstown, IN in 1934. In Indiana, he was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and the Rotary Club. He attended the University of Cincinnati (OH) and, also, the University of New Mexico. In June 1940, he and Mary Helen Peters were united in marriage. In 1954, Ernest and Mary Helen moved to Albuquerque and were employed by Sandia National Laboratories. He retired after 24 years as a Staff Associate in the Aero Design Division. Mr. Hall's interests included camping, hunting, fishing, and golf. He had many hobbies, such as making silver and turquoise jewelry, and gold mining. His wife; parents; two brothers; and a sister-in-law precede him in death. His survivors include three nieces, Judy Venckus of San Jose, CA, Barbara Robinson of San Benito, TX, amd Diana of Bellbrook, OH. Ernest was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave SE. Carol was strikingly attractive and blessed with a great sense of humor as well as strong convictions and a sense of loyalty. Beloved wife of 53 years to Joseph Gillespie, Carol created a beautiful home and "could make a penny cry." She was an accomplished tole painter who loved to crochet and cross stitch. Examples of her beautiful work graces her home and were given to friends as gifts. More than anything Carol loved her family. Adored daughter of Daisy Bowman of Davidson County; sister of Frieda (James) Pilcher of Winston-Salem; beloved wife of Joe Gillespie; cherished mother of Dennis Wayne (Heidi) Gillespie of Wyndmoor, Pa. and Barbara Gillespie Haynes of Winston-Salem; precious grandmother of Brian (Lizzie) Haynes, Susan (Scottie) Johnson, Arielle Gillespie and Aimee Gillespie; proud and doting great-grandmother of Sadie Re Anne Johnson. In her later years, Carol and Joe enjoyed country dancing at the Pollirosa Restaurant in Tobaccoville. The kindness and affection of their friends there as well as their loving circle of neighbors will not be forgotten. Carol's beautiful spirit, generosity and kindness will be missed always. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at 10 a.m. in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery by the Rev. Bill Chatman. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Funeral Home. on November 20, 2000.2
