He was born April 18, 1918, in Anderson, Ind., where his lived his entire life. Donald was a veteran who served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in Rhineland Central Europe, receiving two Bronze Stars and the American Theater Ribbon. He retired, as a pattern maker, from Delco Remy Div. of General Motors. Donald was a member of Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge 77 F. & A.M. and American Legion Post 127. He is survived by his children, Tim Ridge and Julie Ridge (companion, Mark Sellers); grandson, Keith Ridge; and several nieces and nephews. A special thank-you is extended to sister-in-law Evelyn Raper. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Vanita (Fuller) Ridge; wife, Gail Lavon (Huntzinger) Ridge, who died in 2009; brother, Fred Ridge; and sister, Mary Grinslade. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p. m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, officiated by Chaplain Don Weston, and will include a 12:45 p.m. Masonic memorial service. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 266 honor guard. on November 20, 2011.³

Sam was born Aug. 20, 1931, in Anderson, Ind., to the late George and Mary (Riggsby) Jarrett. He served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict, and retired after 26 years of active and reserve service. He was a district manager for Sumter Electric Company for 15 years. Sam joined the Rotary Club of Inverness in 1974 and remained a member for more than 20 years, serving as president during the 1991-92 Rotary year. He received the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award in March 1992. He also was a member of the First Christian Church of Inverness. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Edna (Sorrells) Jarrett, Fritch, Texas; two sons, Jonathan L. Jarrett, Fritch, Texas, and Timothy L. Jarrett and wife, Laurie, Inverness; one grandson, Jonathan S. Jarrett and his wife, Kathie; and one great-grandchild, Kimber Mae Jarrett. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Ina Mae Jarrett, in 2003. Sam's life will be honored at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at First Christian Church of Inverness. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. on October 21, 2012.²
