He was preceded in death by two sisters, four brothers and a grandson. Mr. Barnett was a graduate of Indianapolis High School and was a custodian and bus driver for Urbana School District for 28 years. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II.      Virginia Margaretta Barnett Virginia M. Cobb 86 of Zionsville died March 28, 2008. The daughter of the late William and Martha Stout Barnett, Virginia was born in Putnam County, Indiana on October 17, 1921. She attended Washington High School. On December 9, 1939 Virginia married William Earl Cobb, her husband of 45 years. Before retiring in 1983, Virginia worked for many years for Ertel Manufacturing, where she was employed as a stamper. She loved playing cards and games with her family, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Easter was her favorite holiday. Mrs. Cobb was a long-time member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ann Ludlow, and granddaughters Dawn Lantz (husband Lance), Stacey Spees (husband Tim), and Paige BeMiller (husband Chad), as well as great-grandchildren Sydney Rivera, Joseph and Samuel Spees, Hunter and Saige Lantz, and Syler and Xavier BeMiller. Her sisters Marie Rich and Anna Spears also survive. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband William; their son, William Earl Cobb, Jr. (Billy), great-granddaughter Josephine Taylor Spees, three brothers, and two sisters. He was a graduate of Cloverdale High School and retired from Perfection Paint and Color after 43 years of service. His parents; one brother, Glendon and one sister, Patricia preceded him in death. Surviving are his children, Robert W. Barnett and wife Deb, James G. Barnett and Crystal, and Cindy S. Survivors include seven children, Geraldine Morfey (Roger) of Champaign, Donna Zook (Gary) of Fruitland Park, Fla., Richard Barnett (Jeannie) of Urbana, Diana Shaw (Tom) of Laurens, Iowa, Wilma Dyson (Michael) of Mahomet, William Barnett (Cathy) of Urbana and David Barnett (Theresa) of Paxton; five siblings, Robert Earl Bales (Verna) of Indiana, Gene Bales (Marie) of Philo, Jim Bales (Pat) of Missouri, Georgia Hill of Champaign and Juanita Rose of Champaign; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, one great-grandson, one brother, two sisters and a son-in-law. Betty worked for Magnavox soldering for the red eye during the Vietnam War. She later worked for the Urbana School District No. 116 for many years in food service. She was a member at Webber Street Christian Church and the VFW. Betty thoroughly enjoyed reading, playing cards, the St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Conkle Speedway Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Survivors include his wife, Virginia M.
