     Harold Joseph "Johnny" Johnston was buried at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Medina Co., Ohio.² He was born on April 24, 1917.^1,3 He married Virginia Ruth "Jinny" Clawson, daughter of Donald Wayne Clawson and Alice Douglas Basham, on October 14, 1945 at Summit Co., Ohio.¹ Harold Joseph "Johnny" Johnston died on June 25, 2011 at Ohio at age 94.^3,2 He Harold J. ''Johnny'' Johnston, 94, went home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2011. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a fighter pilot during World War II. Johnny was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal for his heroic action against the Japanese forces in the Bismarck Archipelago area. He was an aviation pilot for Goodyear Aerospace where he also flew the Goodyear Blimp. Johnny was an avid participant in the Barbershop Quartet, performing throughout the Akron area. He was an outstanding musician playing several instruments including the piano and organ and was also a radio announcer known as ''Hal'' for WAKR. Uncle Johnny was a very loving, caring, kind and considerate man, whom everyone loved. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Johnston and children, Judith and Nancy Johnston, Harold is survived by his sister, Carlene J. Puzacke; brother, Floyd Johnston; his loving, loyal and devoted niece, Christy S. McKinney; niece, Cheryl Hoffman; nephews, Michael Hoffman, Steve Hoffman and Glen Hoffman; and too many to mention great-nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44312. Burial will take place following the visitation Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman with full military honors. on July 3, 2011.²

Huffman, 74, of 4458 Washington St. W., died Nov. 18, 1989, at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was a member of Starcher Baptist Church and had lived most of her life in Charleston. Surviving: husband, Henry E. Huffman; daughter, Betty Warren of Charleston; sisters, Lovie Collins of Big Springs, Lola Barrett of Maine and Genevieve Hardman of Tennessee; brothers, Lee and Hobart. Richards, both of Big Springs, Lawrence, Orley and Obid Richards, all of Ohio. Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral. Home with the Rev. Lovell Huffman officiating. Entombment will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens Mausoleum. on November 20, 1989.¹

Lohr was born on November 13, 1933 at Jeanette, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania.¹ He died on March 11, 2005 at Jacksonville, Duval Co., Florida, at age 71.¹ He William R. Lohr, 71, of Jacksonville Florida, formerly of North Huntingdon, PA died Friday March 11, 2005 at Community Hospice in Jacksonville. He was born November 13, 1933 in Jeannette, PA a son of the late William and Lucille Basham Lohr. He was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Irwin and a well known Irwin businessman owning and operating Lohr's hardware store on Main St. He was also a purchasing agent for Pelican Building Center in Beaufort, SC and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife Ellen Gilbert Lohr of Jacksonville; three sons Scott Lohr (Kathy) of Monroe, OH, Larry Lohr (Martha) of Wharton, NJ and Steven Lohr (Stacy) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a daughter Julie Farrell (William) of Jacksonville; 7 grandchildren; brother Arthur Wayne Lohr (Carolyn) of DeWitte, MI; and a sister Eileen Jackson (Richard) of Monument Beach, MA. Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St. Irwin. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery, Hempfield Township. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777 New York, NY 10163. on March 14, 2005.¹
