     Her married name was Curry.² Yvonne M. "Bonnie May" Swisher Yvonne M. “Bonnie Mae” Dennis, of Pomeroy, OH, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. She was a homemaker and had attended the Old Kyger Freewill Baptist Church. She was born to the late John and Laurah (Simpkins) Swisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Daniel Chapman, George Curry; and her brother, Michael Swisher. Bonnie Mae is survived by her husband, John Dennis; four daughters, Cheryl Ann Swisher and Dorothy Jayne Brooks, both of Cheshire and Freeda Chandler and Carla DeWeese, both of Mason, WV; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Sheik Swisher and George Swisher, both of Ulee, FL, Elizabeth Jane Swisher, of Point Pleasant, Viola Watson, of Henderson, Karen Lemley, of Pomeroy and Carl “Boxer” Swisher, of Gallipolis Ferry; and also many nieces and nephews. Bonnie Mae’s life will be remembered at 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 29, 2013, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with her brother, Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Bonnie Mae’s care has been entrusted to Crow-Hussell Funeral Home.² Her married name was Dennis.² She married John Dennis.² Yvonne M. Chapman drowned in the Ohio River March 29 following a boating accident. His body was found in the river at 1:33 p.m. Tuesday near Lakin. He attended Meigs and Kyger Creek High School. Chapman was born July 15, 1960, at Point Pleasant, son of Harold Chapman, of Melvindale, Mich., and Yvonne Swisher Dennis, Cheshire. Surviving besides his parents are: John Dennis, stepfather, Cheshire; four sisters, Cheryl Curry Swisher, Cheshire, Dorothy Owens, Pomeroy, Freeda and Carla Chapman, both of Cheshire; one brother, George Curry, Cheshire; and John F. Swisher, Middleport, a grandfather with whom he made his home. on May 15, 1980.³

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and member of the Royal Order of Moose, Hiram Lodge #18. Born Feb. 4, 1924 in Delaware, he was the son of the late Ralph Edward Curry Sr., and Elizabeth L. Sebring Curry. Survivors include one son, George Curry Jr., of Cheshire; one daughter, Cheryl Swisher of Cheshire; four brothers, Frank, John, James and Thomas Curry, all of Delaware; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Curry, and one brother, Ralph Curry Jr. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Bennett-Brown Funeral Home, 92 N. Sandusky St., Delaware, with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be 4 p.m. Monday at the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Cheshire. on September 18, 1994.³

     Michael Shane Swisher was buried at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, Point Pleasant, Mason Co., West Virginia.² He Michael Shane Swisher, 64, of Henderson, WV, went to be with his Lord on Friday evening, January 22, 2010, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. He was retired from Harry Wellnitz True Block in Columbus, Ohio. Michael was a member of the First Church of God, in Point Pleasant and was a greeter, which brought a smile to all that entered into the sanctuary. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. Michael was born April 28, 1945, a son to the late John and Laurah Swisher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Donna Masters; sister-in-law, Becky Gandee; nephews, Matt Matt “Leppy” Scott, George Curry, Jr. and Danny Chapman; niece, Chico Swisher and cousin, Roger Lee Swisher. He is survived by his sons, John and Jamie Swisher, of Columbus and Michael “Little Mickey” Swisher, Jr., of Henderson and daughter Kimberly and Rick Schneller, of Columbus; grandchildren, Tyler and Alex Swisher and Paige Schneller; brothers and sisters, Vonnie and John Dennison, of Pomeroy, Viola and Spuds Watson and Janie Swisher, all of Henderson, Karen and Chuck Lemly, of Pomeroy, Chuck and Sandy Swisher and Shiek and Cookie Swisher, all of Jacksonville, FL and Carl “Boxer” and Yvonne Swisher, of Point Pleasant; great-nephew, Tony Cox and great-nieces, Regina Patterson and April Tion Neil and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Michael’s life will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens.
