     Curtis Allen Craft Curtis Allen Craft, 65, of 409 N. Alleghany Ave., died, Thursday November 21, 2019 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born July 28, 1954 in Covington, the son of the late Theo and Ruby Via Craft. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father in law Buck Thurston. Mr. Craft had worked for Garten Trucking as a driver, He was a member of McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church, and had retired from the Covington Fire Department. Curtis was a graduate of CHS Class of 1972. He also was avid UVA and Washington Redskins Fan and loved his two grandsons. Surviving are his wife of 13 years Denise Thurston Craft of Covington, two step sons Dustin Lee Belcher and Angel Walton, Darren Gregory Belcher and his wife Suzanne, two grandsons Davis Lee Belcher and Dekker Ray Belcher all of Meadows of Dan, three sisters Carol Liptrap and her husband Don of Troutville, Peggy Tingler and her husband Henry, Jr. of Roanoke, and Donna Craft Walker of Covington, one brother Steven Craft and his wife Donna of Covington, a step mother in law Mary Thurston , two brothers in law Gregory Thurston and Tom Spence and two sisters in law Tana Broughman and husband Mike, and Melissa Lantz and her husband Mark, his two fur babies Rascal and Precious, his Covington Fire Department and Garten Trucking Family, and a number of nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated.4 He was born on July 28, 1954 at Covington, Alleghany Co., Virginia.2,3,4,5 He married Judy Darlene Fagg, daughter of Robert Lee Fagg and Rosalie Virginia Meadows, on February 20, 1980 at Covington, Alleghany Co., Virginia.2 Curtis Allen Craft and Judy Darlene Fagg were divorced on March 24, 1986 at Alleghany Co., Virginia.3 Curtis Allen Craft married Shelia Ann Hostetter on July 2, 1997 at Clifton Forge, Alleghany Co., Virginia.2 Curtis Allen Craft and Shelia Ann Hostetter were divorced on April 30, 2003 at Alleghany Co., Virginia.3 Curtis Allen Craft married Denise Thurston circa 2006.4 Curtis Allen Craft died on November 21, 2019 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 65.4

She was the sister of Ben Root, who was 2 years older and a guiding star throughout his lifetime. In 1925, the family moved to Rose Hill in Mahaska County. She attended Reinhart country school until her 8th-grade year, when her brother Ben started his freshman year at Barnes City High School. She graduated in 1941 and then attended nursing school in Des Moines until 1944. On Oct. 8, 1944, she was united in marriage to Clayton H. Crill in an evening wedding ceremony at the Delta Christian Church with Charlene Gott as a bridesmaid and Junior Fredrick Bos as the best man. To this union, three children were born, C. John, Sherry and Mary. Christine was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother with many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ben Root. She is survived by her husband; son, C. John (Marilyn) Crill of Rose Hill; two daughters, Sherry (Layton) Claypool of Delta and Mary (Gary) McMullen of Delta; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Garrett Cemetery in Delta. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Holm Funeral Home, Sigourney. A memorial fund has been established. on October 7, 2012.2

She was born January 29, 1928 in Elkfork, Kentucky to the late William & Jewel Roseberry. Martha was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord very deeply. She demonstrated God's love throughout her life. Martha and her husband moved from Fairborn, Ohio to the Jacksonville, Florida area in 1973, and have been long time residents in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville, Florida. Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leonard Ray Crowder, her son, Leonard Clayton Crowder, and her grandson, Jacob Crowder. Martha is survived by 2 daughters, Sondra Pennington and Connie Garnett (Ronald) both of Jacksonville, Florida, daughter-in-law, Sheila Crowder, grandchildren, Keith Helton (Beth), Nicole Reed Crowder, Jennifer Asbury (Thomas), Jackie Clark (George), Kevin Crowder, and 10 great-grandchildren all from the Florida area. Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 2 pm at the Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn, Ohio, with her nephew, Pastor Bill McDaniel officiating. The family would also like to thank Earl B. Hadlow Center-Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida who provided great comfort for her in her final days. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Earl B. Hadlow Center-Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257. Flowers may be sent to Morris Sons Funeral Home at 104 W.
