Coy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mattie Wright; sister, Jean Lovinggood; two daughters, Melissa Smith (Jason), and Rachel Mellott (Walter); four grandsons, Anthony, Cory, Ryan Smith and Dakota Mellott.³ He was born on March 2, 1943 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^2,3 He married Mattie Unknown circa 1978.³ Coy Sam Wright died on July 2, 2022 at Virginia at age 79.³
