     Joseph Malachi "Joe" Poff Joe Poff passed away peacefully Monday, March 16, 2020. Joe was born January 10, 1937, in Bland county, Virginia, to Theodore and Sarah Poff. Joe later moved to Kerrville, Texas along with his parents and siblings. Joe would later meet the love of his life Betty Rodgers. The two were married January 14, 1955. After serving in the U.S. Army, Joe and Betty moved to Lubbock to start their long happy life together. Joe had a forty year career with the Coca Cola company serving in many different positions before retiring in 2001. Joe truly loved the outdoors where he enjoyed all types of hunting and fishing trips with his sons. Joe had a passion for vintage firearms which he had immense knowledge of. Later in life joe began to slow down and spend his time at home with Betty and later his grand son James, who he was very truly proud of. James brought much joy to him! Joe was proceeded in death by his wife, Betty, of almost sixty five years, his parents, and one brother Henry. Joe is survived by his two sons, Bobby of Tioga, North Dakota, and Ronnie and his wife Mindy of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Brandon of Tioga, North Dakota, Brittney of Duchess, Utah, and James of Lubbock; numerous great grandkids; one brother, Julius (Pauline) of Kerrville.⁵ He was buried at Resthaven Memorial Park, 5740 W. 19th Street, Lubbock, Lubbock Co., Texas.⁶ He was born on January 10, 1937 at Bland Co., Virginia.^3,6,5 He married Betty Jean Rodgers on January 14, 1955 at Kerr Co., Texas.^5,4 Joseph Malachi "Joe" Poff died on March 16, 2020 at Texas at age 83.⁶

He served in the United States Army and later retired from PYCO Industries of Lubbock in 2003. Mr. Poff was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Joella Mae Poff. Survivors include two brothers, Julius Poff and wife Pauline, of Kerrville, and Joe Poff and wife Betty, of Lubbock; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, loved ones and many friends.² He was born on August 29, 1938 at Kimberling, Bland Co., Virginia.^2,7,3,4,5 He died on February 20, 2007 at Lubbock, Lubbock Co., Texas, at age 68.^2,7,3,5
