Mrs. Brent was the wife of bookstore owner Stuart Brent. She joined Northwestern Memorial Hospital in 1966. She was director of the hospital's first cardiovascular and anesthesiology division for 15 years. She had been an associate professor of anesthesiology since 1970. A native of Clarksburg, W.Va., she graduated from Wellesley College in Massachusetts in 1957 and the University of Virginia Medical School in 1961. Mrs. Brent held a patent on the Wilkinson endotracheal tube, which she invented. Besides her husband, survivors include five stepsons, David, Johnathan, Joseph, Adam and Joshua; three stepdaughters, Susan Millner, Amy Wexler and Lisa Feldman; two brothers; a sister; and 12 grandchildren. on October 29, 1995.3

Gearheart, attorney-at-law, of Falls Church, Va; two sisters, Thelma V. Dowdy and Atha B. King, both of Richmond, Va; her daughter, Sharon Lynn Keifer; grandson, Matthew Thomas Keifer and granddaughter, Virginia Haley Wahl. She had five children, Sharon Lynn Keifer, Cynthia Irene Reeves, George Jeffrey Lowe, Michael Patterson Lowe and Gordon Cassidy Lowe. She is survived by Larry and Cynthia Reeves of Enid, Okla., Jeff and Betty Lowe of Fort Worth, Texas, Michael and Shirley Lowe of Waxahachie, Texas, Gordon and Darnell Lowe of Stephenville, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews as well as neighbors and friends. Gini grew up in Richmond, Va., and was baptized at 11-years-old by Dr. Wade Bryant of Barton Heights Baptist Church in Richmond. She spent her life enjoying the love and fellowship of each of the churches in which she worshiped over the years in Virginia, Oklahoma and Texas. As a young woman in Richmond she sang lead soprano in several operettas and operas and was soloist with the Arts Music Guild, Tabernacle Baptist Church and Radio Station WRVA. She was tutored in voice by Charles Traxell of the Metropolitan Opera Company of New York, N.Y. She and her husband George enjoyed singing many duets in various programs and cantatas in the churches they attended over the years. Gini was a member of Christian Church of the Covenant in Enid and enjoyed serving with her brothers and sisters. on June 7, 2011.6

Following his military service he was employed with Fieldcrest Mills in Eden, N.C. until his retirement. Surviving are wife, Virginia Sumner Barnard of the home; one step-son, Jeffery L. Jinnett and wife Barbara of Knoxville, TN; three step-daughters, Jaki J. Day and husband Bruce of Rome, Ga., Robin J. Porter and husband Clyde of Fairfax, Va. and Jill J. Daniel and husband Steve of Reidsville, N.C; one brother, Weldon Barnard of Reidsville, N.C; three sisters, Ramona B. Southard of Reidsville, N.C., Linda B. Land of Stoneville, N.C. and Nancy B. Toler of Reidsville, N.C; eight step-grandchildren. The family received friends at the home of his step-daughter, Jill Daniel, 1108 Arbor Lane, Reidsville, N.C. Memorials may be made to: Main St. United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 338, Reidsville, N.C. 27320. on May 25, 2004.1
