She was employed for 13 years with Columbia Records in Terre Haute. She was born in Clay County to Reuben Crosley and Edith Siner Crosley. Following school, she married John F. Butler Jan. 4, 1945, and he survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Martha Stearley of Farmersburg, Mary Shaffer and her husband, Jim, and Becky McKee and her husband, Matt, both of Terre Haute; one son, Mark Butler and his wife, Maureen of Harmony; one sister, Marie Parr of Brazil; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Randy Butler; one daughter, Terri Anderson; one brother, Martin Crosley; and one granddaughter, Kristen McKee. She attended Kightsville schools. She was a member of Brazil Bible Fellowship Church. Services are 10 a.m. Friday in Moore Funeral Home in Brazil, with the Revs. Gordon Nelson and Jim Gibson officiating. Burial is in Summit Lawn Cemetery in Brazil. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association, 600 S. He was graduated from Van Buren High school in 1959 and that year was named All-Valley basketball guard and a member of the Valley first team. Survivors in addition to the widow, include a daughter, Kimberly Dawn, at home; a sister, Mrs. Linda Lou Routson, Brazil; a half-sister, Mrs. Doris M. Martin, Carbon; two half-brothers, James E. Hood, Brazil rte. 1, and Richard W. Hood, Brazil, and two grandmothers, Mrs. Gertie Thomas, Carbon and Mrs. Effie Blair, Carbon rte. one. Burial will follow in the Calcutta Cemetery near Brazil. on November 30, 1972.⁵
