Thelma worked at Bob's Surplus as a cashier and was a bookkeeper for several pluming shops in the area. She is survived by two sons, Jim (Louise) Prather of Napavine, Wash., and Gary (Shirley) Prather of Mesa; a sister, Mildred Steiner; and two brothers, Harold and Marston Madison. Thelma has 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers, three sisters, and two husbands, George Prather in 1976 and Burl Ingraham in 1988. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Association, 12721 30th Ave., NE 101, Seattle, WA 98125. on September 23, 2008.2

Mildred was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Kelso-Longview Elks, Moose Lodge, American Legion and Longview Eagles. Her children feel privileged to have had many wonderful years of fun, travel and good times with Mom. She was a lovely, warm, elegant lady. Her grandchildren will cherish special times with their granny. She loved entertaining family and friends, cooking, baking and hostessing. She loved the beach, especially going to the kite festival with her friends. She also loved to dance. She is survived by her son, Ed Steiner; her daughters, Cathy Boudreau (Terry) and Sandy Shull (Leo), both of Longview; her brothers, Harold Madison (Betty) of Longview and Marston Madison (Evelyn) of Payson, Ariz; and many nieces and nephews. She was also blessed with her grandchildren, Nicole Velenchenko (Ryan), Stephen Kiser (Lindsey), Clint Kiser (Rhonda), KaiLana Shull, Danielle Fugleberg (Ryan) and Beau Boudreau (Melissa); and great-grandchildren Karson, Halle, Karlie, Gillian, Carter, Sydney, Megan, Jace and Willow. In addition to her husband, Edward, Mildred was preceded in death by her seven brothers and five sisters. A funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Rose Catholic Church, with a luncheon to follow in the Parish Center. Entombment will follow at Longview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in Mildred Steiner's name to Community Home Health & Hospice, P.O.      Harold J. Madison died on October 14, 2013 at Longview, Cowlitz Co., Washington, at age 87.2,6 He An incredible husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, Harold Madison, 87, of Longview passed away Oct. 14, 2013, at the Hospice Care Center. He was born Aug. 4, 1926, in Stillwater, Okla., the youngest of 15 children born to James Henry and Dora (Stark) Madison. The family moved to the local area more than 70 years ago. Harold served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He worked for the Long-Bell Lumber Co., Welch Panel and Twin City Plumbing. Harold was a member of Robert Gray Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing and was an avid New York Yankees fan. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty (Nollsch) Madison at home; his only surviving sibling and his best friend, Marston "Matt" Madison (Evelyn) of Payson, Ariz; three children, Dianna Rowton (Jim) of Spokane, Michael Madison (Susan) of Yakima and James Madison (Nancy) of Olympia; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Harold's life is planned for noon Friday at Robert Gray Baptist Church with pastors Eric Johnson and Phil Peters officiating. The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by Kaiser, especially Dr. Shaw and Dr. Chandler, and the Hospice Care Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632. Arrangements are by Columbia Funeral Service. on October 16, 2013.2

Mrs. Phelps enjoyed working for Steve Hayes State Farm Insurance office for 16 years. She was a devoted animal lover and enjoyed tending to her flower beds. Everyone called her "Grammy". Her family meant everything to her. She married C.J. Phelps May 19, 1947, at the Longview Four Square Church. He survives her at home. Also surviving are two sons, John Phelps and Bob Phelps, both of Longview; a daughter, Susie Mattison of Longview; a brother, Robert Cade Jr. of Longview; a sister, Shirley Holt of Memphis, Tenn; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Cade in 1972; and several aunts and uncles. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Steele Chapel with Pastor Jim Phelps Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Longview Memorial Park. on December 4, 2000.2

He was a member of Kelso Assembly of God, and later New Life Fellowship in Longview for many years. He loved his church and its activities. He had many close friends in the congregation who were there for him. Calvin was a person who cared for others. He never complained, even through his last days on Earth. He loved his family very much. He was always there for others, whether they were family or an acquaintance. He picked people up for church, mowed their lawns, or whatever he felt he could do for them. He loved walking his good friends dog, Cricket. He had a quiet voice, but a loud heart. His hand was always out as a gesture of giving, never taking. Calvin has gone to be with the Lord for eternal health and happiness. He was very loved by his family and friends. Calvin will be missed by many and remembered for his kind heart and quiet ways. He is survived by a brother, Van Madison (MaryAnn) of Central Point, Ore; a sister, Clela Sloan (Bill) of Stillwater; two daughters, Susie Madison-Ridling (Bob) of Castle Rock and Alice Corigliano (Jeff) of Kent, Wash; three grandchildren, Trever Secor (Summer) of Kelso, Troy Secor (Kelli) of LaCenter, Wash., and Joseph Corigliano of Seattle; and two great-grandchildren, Lila Secor and Jerrid Secor, both of LaCenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Versel and Frances Madison; and a sister, Dorene Meeder. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Life Fellowship, 2441 42nd Ave., in Longview with Pastor Tony Ward officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Arrangements are by Columbia Funeral Service.
