Harold served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He worked for the Long-Bell Lumber Co., Welch Panel and Twin City Plumbing. Harold was a member of Robert Gray Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing and was an avid New York Yankees fan. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty (Nollsch) Madison at home; his only surviving sibling and his best friend, Marston "Matt" Madison (Evelyn) of Payson, Ariz; three children, Dianna Rowton (Jim) of Spokane, Michael Madison (Susan) of Yakima and James Madison (Nancy) of Olympia; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Harold's life is planned for noon Friday at Robert Gray Baptist Church with pastors Eric Johnson and Phil Peters officiating. He loved his family very much. He was always there for others, whether they were family or an acquaintance. He picked people up for church, mowed their lawns, or whatever he felt he could do for them. He loved walking his good friends dog, Cricket. He had a quiet voice, but a loud heart. His hand was always out as a gesture of giving, never taking. Calvin has gone to be with the Lord for eternal health and happiness. He was very loved by his family and friends. Calvin will be missed by many and remembered for his kind heart and quiet ways.
