     Liesa Kay Whitlow Liesa Whitlow Hoback Halsey, 42, of Yellow Sulfur Road, Christiansburg, Virginia died unexpectedly, Saturday, April 16, 2011 at her home. Born June 21, 1968 in Bluefield, she is the daughter of Aubrey and Julana Quesenberry Whitlow of Halls Ridge Road, near Princeton. Liesa was a graduate of Granite Christian Academy in Wytheville, Virginia. Liesa will be remembered for her warm smile and humor along with her love for animals. Leisa was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James (Jim) Aubrey and Clara Turner Whitlow and her maternal grandparents Thomas Boyd and Mildred Whittaker Quesenberry. She was also preceded in death by her stepson Garrett Halsey. Survivors include her husband charles Halsey of the home, her daughter Krista Hoback of Wytheville, VA. Krista's father David Hoback and her step daughter Leah Halsey of Marion VA., her parents, Aubrey and Julana Whitlow and her brother and sister in law A. J. and Stephanie Whitlow and their children Lane and Hailey of Cripple Creek, VA. Liesa is also survived by her puppies which she loved very much. On Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M., we will celebrate the Homegoing of Liesa Halsey from the Rich Creek First United Methodist Church, Rich Creek, VA with Pastor Doug Hyndrich officiating.2 Her married name was Halsey.3 She married Charles Halsey.3 Liesa Kay Whitlow was born on June 21, 1968 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1,2 As of November 5, 1987,her married name was Hoback.1 She married David Anthony Hoback on November 5, 1987 at Wythe Co., Virginia.3,1 Liesa Kay Whitlow died on April 16, 2011 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 42.2,4

     James Harvey Lamb Sr. was buried at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, San Diego Co., California.1 He was born on October 27, 1931 at Fincastle, Botetourt Co., Virginia.2 He married Helen Hopper on April 15, 1956 at San Diego, San Diego Co., California.4,2 James Harvey Lamb Sr. and Helen Hopper were divorced in 1971.2 James Harvey Lamb Sr. married Shirley Velora Eli Diekmann on March 22, 1975 at San Diego, San Diego Co., California.4,2,5 James Harvey Lamb Sr. died on November 3, 2011 at San Diego, San Diego Co., California, at age 80.2 He Lamb, James Harvey, October 27, 1931 to November 3, 2011. James Harvey Lamb, a kind soul who was loved by all who crossed his path, passed away on November 3, 2011. Jim was born October 27, 1931 in Fincastle, VA and was raised in Alexandria, VA. From an early age, he had a great passion for aviation and, at age 16, learned to fly small aircraft. During the Korean War, Jim served as a photographer in the U.S. Navy on the USS Mt. Olympus and USS Boxer. In 1956, after leaving the service, he married the former Helen Hopper in La Mesa, CA and started a family. The couple divorced in 1971. Jim worked as an Air Traffic Specialist for the FAA from 1967-1992 in San Diego County. In 1974, he met Shirley Diekmann-Cochrane at a square-dance class. They married in 1975 and were blessed with a blended family. Jim was a member of Point Loma Masonic Lodge #620, elected Master in 1995. He was a man of good humor, and always happiest in the company of his family. Jim loved a glass of red wine and was an avid fan of the San Diego Padres. Jim is survived by his wife Shirley Lamb, former spouse Helen Danko, siblings Howard Lamb, Helen Graham, Wanda Campbell; children James H. Lamb Jr. (Kathy), Elaine Lamb, Duane Lamb (Shyla), Steven Lamb (Leslie); stepchildren Dale Kelly-Cochrane (Sue), Gregg Cochrane (Brandy); grandchildren Chris Lamb, Ryan Lamb, Danielle Lamb-Davis (Sean), Alex Lamb, Matthew Lamb, step-grandchildren Chris Kelly-Cochrane (Amanda), Kerry Perez (Leo), many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Hunter and Cora Lamb, siblings Kathleen Young, Virginia Davis and Richard Lamb. on November 13, 2011.2
