Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Stockbridge, Ga. on July 2, 1995.4

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Arthur "Brownie" Saunders; four sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Carol Alderman, of Connelly Springs, N.C., Elden and Darlene Alderman, of Hickory, N.C., Mark and DeAnna Perkins, of Marietta, Ohio, Michael and Patti Perkins, of Union, S.C; stepsons and wives, Marvin and Rhonda Perkins, of Narrows, Richard and Sylvia Saunders, of Eggleston; three stepdaughters and husbands, Jo Ann and Buck Gunter, of Lindside, W.Va., Machell and Jay Schmolitz, of Blacksburg, Arnita and John Perfater, of Blacksburg; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, with Pastor Shahn Wilburn and Pastor Wilmar Wegner officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to Riverview Baptist Church, 219 Big Stony Creek Road, Ripplemead. on January 11, 2013.4

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Helen Radford Perkins of Narrows; one daughter, Jo Ann Evans of Lindside; three sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Rhonda Perkins of Narrows, Mark and DeAnna Perkins of Pearisburg, Va., Michael and Patty Perkins of Union, S.C; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Carol Alderman of Connelly Springs, N.C., and Elden and Darlene Alderman of Hildebran, N.C; two sisters, Virginia Waddell and husband 'Doc' of Baltimore, Md., and Marie Andrews of Sparta, N.C; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by Riffe's Funeral Home in Narrows with Pastors Bud Israel and Wilmar Wegner officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Riffe's Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Jefferson Christian Academy, P.O. Box 218, Ripplemead, VA 24150. on May 1, 2004.1
