Hobbs, 79, of East Bank passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness. Arrietta was born May 17, 1933 in Salisbury, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Marie Hudnall Young. Arrietta was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Lee Blair, and a sister, Helen Rosenbaum. Arrietta was a member of East Bank Methodist Church, where she prepared lunch on Tuesday for the seniors in the area. She belonged to the Eden Rebekah Lodge #142, Handley. She was secretary of the Odd Fellows in Montgomery before her stroke. She was a 1950 graduate of East Bank High School and retired from DuPont after 37 years of service. Arrietta's favorite pastime was cooking. Arrietta was a very giving person and was always there for her friends. Left to cherish her memory are sister, Vickie Cartwright of Norfolk, VA; sons, Bobby Dean of East Bank, Joe and his wife, Pam of Oklahoma and John and his wife, Kella, of Beckley; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Robert Hobbs, Pam Evans, Pam Ocheltree and Billie Blair. The family would like to thank the staff of CAMC Memorial, Heartland of Charleston and Hubbard Hospice House for the kindness and care that was given to Arrietta during her illness. Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Montgomery Memorial Park Mausoleum, London with Rev. "Bob" Hobbs died on July 25, 2015 at Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 80.2 He Robert H. "Bob" Hobbs, 80, of East Bank, passed away July 25, 2015. Bob was born Jan. 14, 1935 in Madison, Tenn., and then moved to Belle. He was the only child of the late Robert Harvey Hobbs and Louise Gillum Hobbs. Bob resided in Belle throughout high school and graduated from DuPont High in 1952. Bob was employed by the DuPont Company in 1953 as a mail clerk and retired as a plant buyer and purchasing coordinator with nearly 40 years of service. He was the recorder and treasurer for the town of East Bank, and municipal judge for 18 years for several towns in West Virginia. He served as treasurer for the West Virginia Municipal Judges Association and the Odd Fellows. He was also a member of the Rebekahs of Montgomery. Bob was a former president of the Davis Creek-Ruthdale Lions Club and former chairman of the Board of Directors of the Davis Creek-Ruthdale Voluntary Fire Department. Bob was very active in athletics at DuPont High, participating in football, basketball and track teams. He also served as Varsity Club president his senior year. Bob also served as president of the DuPont Plant 25-year Club. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Bob was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after 11 years of service and was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Patricia G. Sprouse Hobbs of East Bank; sons, Robert Dean Hobbs of Uruguay, William Joseph Hobbs (Pam) of Qatar and Ponca City, Okla., and John Thomas Hobbs (Kella) of Beckley — he was very proud of their accomplishments, as all were college graduates, a first in the Hobbs family; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Montgomery Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, London. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin. on July 29, 2015.2

Funeral services were held Friday, March 31, 2017, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL, with Deacon Armando Regalado officiating. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories. on March 2, 2017.3 He died on March 25, 2017 at Belvidere, Boone Co., Illinois, at age 81.3
