     Curtis Patrick Flint was born on March 8, 1934 at Minden, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^1,3,4 He married Nira Jean Epperly, daughter of Clarence McKinley Epperly and Irene Maude Settle, on April 11, 1953 at Fayetteville, Fayette Co., West Virginia.¹ Curtis Patrick Flint and Nira Jean Epperly were divorced on April 12, 1993 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.² Curtis Patrick Flint died on December 24, 2022 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 88.⁴ He Curtis Patrick "Pat" Flint was born in a coal camp in Minden, West Virginia, on March 8, 1934, to Flossie and Bernard Flint, and passed away peacefully in his home in Roanoke, Virginia, on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Pat was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Richard and Charles. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy; son, Rick; stepchildren, Wendi Jobe, and David Jobe (Paul Englehart); grandchildren, Kevin Flint (Anne Whitney), Adam Flint (Amanda), Brooke Flint, Caitlyn and Lauren Jobe; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Maggie and Avery Flint; his sister, Sharon; sister-in-law, Joyce; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the most special friends who became forever family, David and Sabrina McKnight, Pearce, Parker and Porter. Pat owned and operated Flints Service Center since 1972 where he made many friends, told many jokes and heard all the local gossip. He loved to hunt, fish and garden and grew enough tomatoes to supply all his customers. He was a big fan of Cheez-Its, hard candy and UVA. He was a member of Cave Spring Baptist Church where he served as an usher and deacon for many years. Rigg and wife, Christann; two sisters, Cherryl Hartman, and Patricia Rodriquez and husband, Eddie; a mother-in-law, Maurice Whedbee; a father-in-law, Carl Gilliam; a sister-in-law, Valerie Whedbee; a brother-in-law, Carl Whedbee; and a host of nieces and nephews. Hendrix, 62, a zanjero 21 years for the Salt River Project until he became ill about a year ago, died yesterday in Mesa Southside Hospital. Mr. Hendrix, 2243 N. Spring, was a past president and charter member of the Arizona Mounted Patrol, a member of Oriental Masonic Lodge 20 and Mesa Elks Lodge. Born in Stephenville, Tex., he came to Mesa 22 years ago. He was a World War II veteran. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth; his mother, Mrs. Mae Hendrix of Mesa; and a brother out of state.
