Dudley was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He was retired from Clay Co. Department of Highways with 18 years of service and Clendenin Lumber with 29 years of service. He was a faithful and dedicated member of the Burke United Methodist Church, Procious, WV. Dudley Loved the Love of his family and truly loved people. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Elaine, Dudley was the love of her life. He is also survived by: son, Douglas (Kim) Dawson of Clendenin; daughter, Melissa (Jim) Schmaltz of Hoover, Alabama; grandsons, Jarin Schmaltz and T. J. Dawson; great granddaughter, Elisabeth Ruth Schmaltz; sister, Claudia O’Dell of Massillon, OH; and brothers, Dane Dawson of Shreve, Ohio and Daniel Dawson of Fayetteville, WV. Dane was a private person who enjoyed spending time at home and taking care of his lawn. He will be missed by his son and wife Darrell (Margarita) Dawson of Wooster and a brother Daniel (Nancy) Dawson of W. Va; a sister Claudia O'Dell of Massillon. Preceding Dane in death, in addition to his parents was his wife and son Duane; brothers, Dexter and Dudley and sisters; Cledith, Chessie and Carmen. Graveside services will be at the H. E. Dawson Cemetery on Twistabout Ridge, Clay Co., WV. on March 16, 2019.8

She worked as a cashier for Kroger Company for over 20 years & was a member of Anchor Baptist Church. Claudia enjoyed cooking, crocheting, attending church and spending time with family, especially her great-grandson Jaden with whom she shared a very special bond. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister and was known for her kind & compassionate heart. Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, John O'Dell, son, Ronald O'Dell, brothers, Dexter, Dudley and Dane Dawson, and sisters, Chessie McCune, Carmin Samples, and Cledith Atwood. Claudia is survived by her son, Randall (Deborah) O'Dell, grandchildren, Kristina O'Dell, Randy O'Dell, and Sean O'Dell, great-grandson Jaden O'Dell, step-grandchildren, Adrienne (Mike) Schuring and Dustin (Laura) Shuman, step-great-grandchildren, Brayden, Jase, Sami, Matthew, Vanessa & Hayden, brother, Daniel (Nancy) Dawson, daughter-in-law, Linda O'Dell, and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon. Chessie will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, homemaker, teacher, and source of pride and inspiration. She is survived by her son, David K. (Shirley) McCune; a daughter, Cathy L. (David) Ammond; four grandchildren, Christopher Ammond, Sara Joy McCune, Pete McCune, and Leah Ammond who will all cherish her memory. She is also survived by one sister, Claudia O'Dell with whom she shared a special relationship; four brothers; Dexter (Karen) Dawson, Dane (Ann) Dawson, Dudley (Elaine) Dawson, and Daniel (Nancy) Dawson; and her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and June McCune. In addition to her husband and parents, Chessie was preceded in death by her sisters, Cledith Atwood, and Carmen Samples. Interment will be at Brookfield Cemetery. on July 3, 2012.5

Mrs. Eagle was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carol Ann Eagle; a grandson, Kenneth Nickel; a sister, Linda Cunningham; two brothers, Benny and Danny Boggs; and a sister-in-law, Lucy Boggs. Interment in Mount Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Township. on June 18, 2008.2
