Dorothy was a faithful witness of Jehovah for 30 years and was a member of the Parkview Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. Dorothy loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers; and one sister. Survivors include her children, Judy Marsh and husband Gene of Springfield, Dan Doran and wife Pam of Wellsville, MO, Susie Doran, Marie Smith and husband Gary, all of Springfield; a sister, Agnes Sweareng in of Springfield; and a brother, Loyd Graves of Willard, MO. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and other relatives and many friends. Memorial services will be Thursday, October 3, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall Parkview Congregation at 3886 S. Golden, Springfield, MO. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at White Chapel Memorial Gardens under the direction of Thieme Funeral Home. on October 2, 2002.3

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m . Saturday, March 20, 2004, in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, with Dennis Geren officiating. on March 19, 2004.10

Jo was a Charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 830, member of VFW Auxiliary, Grandview Plaza and American Legion Auxiliary, Ogden.      Patricia Lucille Mayden Patricia was the daughter of Walter J. and Etta (O'Neal) Mayden and was a graduate of Junction City High School. Mrs. Morrand was a homemaker and had been a resident of Ogden, Kansas, since 1947. Her memberships included the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Ogden and the Altar Society. Other memberships include the American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Morrand was an active volunteer for numerous organizations including the American Red Cross, Hospice, the Memorial Hospital and the Area Agency on Aging. She was also one of the founding members of the Ogden City Pride group and was instrumental in helping start the 60+Club in Ogden and volunteered as a leader for Brownies and Girl Scouts. In addition to her many activities, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading and traveling extensively. She also enjoyed ceramics and formerly had her own ceramics shop. On September 6, 1947, she was united in marriage to Michael J. "Mike" Morrand at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ogden, Kansas. He preceded her in death.      Mabel Elisabeth Petersen JUNCTION CITY -- Mabel Elisabeth Mayden, 85, Junction City, died Thursday, July 8, 1999, at a Junction City nursing home. Mrs. Mayden had worked for the Post Engineers in Casper, Wyo., the Army Emergency Relief Office at Camp Ellis, Ill., the University of Oregon for the League of Oregon Cities in Eugene, Ore., and for the Junction City Telephone Co. She and her husband also owned and operated Ed's Little Super Market for about 15 years, and a printing and typing service in their home for several years. She was born March 31, 1914, at Sidney, Mont., the daughter of Lars and Else Damskov Petersen. She graduated from Sidney, Mont., High School in 1931, and she attended Dickinson School of Business in Omaha, Neb. She moved to Junction City in 1945. Mrs. Mayden was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church where she served many years as secretary. She also was a member of the Auxiliaries to the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Eagles Aerie, a lifetime member of the Junction City-Fort Riley Bowling Association, and she was inducted into the Local Bowlers Hall of Fame. She married Edward L. Mayden on Sept. 3, 1943, in Omaha, Neb. He preceded her in death July 9, 1984. Survivors include a son, Dennis Mayden, Junction City; a daughter, Deanna Wolnik, Junction City; a brother, Everett Petersen, in Oregon; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Junction City.
