Connie's precious grandchildren are: Jessica and Jonathan, Cody, Tyler, Julia, and Logan, Code G. and Angie, and Joseph, Jr. Her brother is John E. Poff and her sisters are Erlene Smith, Clara Ferguson, Evelyn Hicks, and Betty Poff . Connie's special friend and companion was Donald Saunders.      Ronnie Lee "Smitty" Smith Ronnie Lee “Smitty” Smith age 76 of Gretna and formerly of Wirtz passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 4, 1943 a son of the late Charlie and Erlene Poff Smith. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Martin; and stepchildren, Deborah Sigmon and Joey Sigmon. Smitty is survived by his wife, Edith W. Smith; son, Michael Lee Smith; daughter, Tammy “Smitty” Smith and wife, Lynda; his other children, Marty Sigmon (Peggy), Ricky Sigmon (Mary); daughter-in-law, Sarah Sigmon; sister, Jean Wampler (Bill); brothers, Gary Smith and friend Linda and Charles Willie Smith; grandchildren, Darin Scott (Mary Ann), Jeannie Sigmon (Warren), April Camp (Doug), Steve Sigmon.      Claudine Young Claudine Young Smith, 77, of Wirtz, passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side on Sunday, December 28, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Ada Young of Ferrum, one brother, Bobby Warren Young, and one sister, Ellen Jean Guilliams. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ronnie Lee (Smitty) Smith; three sons, Marty Sigmon (Peggy), Ferrum, Ricky (Mary) Sigmon, Rocky Mount, Joey (Sarah) Sigmon, Ferrum; and one daughter, Deborah Sigmon (Cedric), Rocky Mount; also two stepchildren, Michael Lee Smith (Eric), Roanoke, Tammy (Smitty) Smith (Linda) of St. Charles, Missouri; four grandchildren, Darin Lee Scott (Ashley), Steven Sigmon (Audrey), Jeannie Sigmon and April Sigmon; nine great- grandchildren, Tiera, Christopher, Desaray, Jaimere, Mckinzie, Brooklyn, Aidan, Kaylee and Caine. She is also survived by her VERY Special friends and neighbors, Alvin and Bobbi Peters who were dear to her as well. Claudine retired from Fleetwood Homes after working there many years. Her main hobby and main passion in life was sharing and showing her love to all of her family. And SHE was the ROCK of our family.
