Surviving are her son, James Kenneth McBride of the home; brother, Henry James Reid and wife, Shirley; sisters, Frances R. Reid and Ruth Sherwood all of Eden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James T. McBride. Both of her parents were deceased by the time she was 18 months of age, she was raised by her mother's brother and his wife, the late Charles Henson Hunter and Bessie Mae Dowdy Watkins Hunter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Crowe, a daughter, Susan Gatrice, a brother Douglas Sarver and a sister, Evelyn Watkins Sowers. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a woman of great strength and perseverance; she had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful homemaker. Mrs. Crowe was a good friends and neighbor to all. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters; Brenda K. Crowe and Jennifer Lynn Crowe, her grandchildren whom adored her are Troy C. Price and Shelicia N. Billings and her great granddaughter Natalia E. Carl who put a smile on her face and the twinkle in her eyes. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bluestone Baptist Church at Jumping Branch with the Rev. Willie Wills in charge. Burial will be in the Farley Cemetery.
