Rev. Charles Herbert "Charlie" Hudnall Rev. Charles Herbert Hudnall, 93 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Amherst Manor following a short illness. He was born April 1, 1916 in East Bank, West Virginia. Charles was raised in West Virginia before moving to Elyria in 1957. He had made his home in Amherst for the last fifty years. Charles was a member of Murray Ridge Church of God in Elyria. He started his employment as a coal miner for twenty-six years in West Virginia. Charles then was employed at Sany Metal in Cleveland for seven years and at Kolczun and Kolczun for fifteen years in security and maintenance. Charles served as a minister for over seventy years in various churches in West Virginia and Ohio. He enjoyed raising roses and growing tomatoes. He, also, enjoyed model trains and restoring antique cars. Survivors include his wife Ernestine Hudnall (nee: Daniels) they would have celebrated their sixty-fifth anniversary on December 23rd; his son and his wife Wayne T. and Connie Hudnall of Vermilion; his daughters Deloris Davis of Virginia and Brenda Young and her husband John of Amherst; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Jake, and brothers Grover, Paul, Stenson and Russell; his sisters Opal Love and Ethel Johnson, and his parents Andrew and Maria Hudnall (nee: Mullins). Friends may call Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. At the Murray Ridge Church of God; 7942 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH. The Rev. Thomas Cody, pastor will officiate. Hallelujah! Johnny Paul Hudnall, 62, of Frametown, West Virginia went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a Church of God minister, gospel songwriter and singer, and disabled coal miner. He faced a difficult illness, at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, with courage and resolve. To the last, he was encouraging to his family and faithful to his Lord. Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Arbutus Hooton Hudnall; one son, Kevin Hudnall and wife Sandy of Alamance, North Carolina; two daughters: Beverly Moore and husband Bobby of Frametown, West Virginia and Joanna Rittmann and husband Jimmy of Louisville, Kentucky. Also surviving, two grandchildren, McKinley and McKayla Moore. He was born on September 4, 1946 in East Bank, West Virginia and was a son to the late Grover and Minnie Hudnall. Surviving brothers are Franklin Hudnall of Winifrede, WV; Joe Hudnall of Hernshaw, WV; also surviving sisters are Louise Martin of Marmet, WV; Freda Bongolis of Tallahassee, FL; Elizabeth Tenney of Looneyville, WV; and Joetta Pauley of Big Chimney, WV. In celebration of his life, services were held at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway on Saturday, September 20, with services officiated by Bishop Stacy Dingess of Madison Church of God. Burial followed at Braxton County Cemetery. on September 24, 2008.3

Joe Hudnall was buried at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.4 He was born on July 24, 1953 at West Virginia.7 He married Pam Unknown circa 1973.4 Joe Hudnall died on August 11, 2011 at West Virginia at age 58.4,7 He Joe Hudnall, 58, of Dunbar, formerly of Hernshaw and raised in East Bank, went home peacefully to be with the Lord Thursday, August 11, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Grover and Minnie Hudnall of East Bank; and brothers and sisters, Barbara Richards, Glen Hudnall, Ethel Searls, Elizabeth Tenney, Johnny Hudnall and Audrey Hanshaw. He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard from 1972 to 1973, finished his military career serving in the United States Army from 1973 to 1975, and loved being a member of the Big Red One. He was also a proud member of the United Mine Workers Association after 24 years of service, retiring from the Eagle Energy Coal Mine, Van, with the majority of his career spent working as a certified electrician on a long wall coal mine. Joe was a member of Lens Creek Church of the Nazarene, where he obtained his local minister's license. Service will be noon Monday, August 15, at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek, with Pastors Patrick McGue and Joe Vance. Entombment with military rites will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

She was a homemaker and a volunteer teacher's assistant at Rand Elementary for many years. She was a member of East Bank Church of God and was a worldwide missionary, having graduated from many Bible schools. She was preceded in death by husbands, Paul E. Young and Charles Luther Martin; son, Donald Ray Young; parents, Minnie and Grover Hudnall; and 11 siblings. Surviving are her sons, Grover Preston Young of Chesapeake, Paul David Young of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Bryan Allen Young of Charleston; daughters, Deborah Kay Abraham of Glasgow and Loretta Lynn Holliday of Campbells Creek; sisters, Freda Mae Bongolis of Tallahassee, Fla., and Joetta Clendenin of Clendenin; brother, Franklin Roosevelt Hudnall of Winifrede; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, with the Rev. Alford Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Dariff's Farm Cemetery, Bucks Hollow, Dry Branch. Immediately following the burial, a gathering of friends and family will meet at the home of her son, Bryan Young, in Charleston. on November 20, 2013.5
