     Eddie Dean Simpkins was buried at Forest Hills Cemetery, Flatrock, Mason Co., West Virginia.3 He It is with great sadness that the family of Eddie Dean Simpkins (May 18, 1949 - May 09, 2018) announces his passing after a brief illness, Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the age of 68 years. Eddie will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Ann; his children, Jackie (Jimmy) Freeman and Jeff (Kristen) Simpkins. Eddie will also be fondly remembered by his nine grandchildren, Hillary (Dewey) Wroten, Heather Freeman, Eric (Olivia) Freeman, Aaron Freeman, Jeffrey Simpkins, Lexi Simpkins, Shae-Ann Simpkins, Hayley Roberts, Chloe Roberts; two great-granddaughters, Lyla Rose Freeman and Marlow Ruth Wroten; and a new soon to be great-grandbaby, Maisie Grace Wroten. His siblings will greatly miss him as well, Debbie (Bobby) Law, Charles (Laura) Bonecutter, Rochelle Glassburn and Becky. Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Glen Simpkins; brother, Don Simpkins; mother Maxine Bonecutter; and also father John Bonecutter. He was a member of Willing Heart Church of Point Pleasant. Anyone who knew dad knew his love for music that he passed down to his children and grandchildren. Also, anyone who knew him knew that his grandchildren were his world. We would like to thank the staff of Pleasant Valley Hospital for the wonderful care that they gave to dad. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Roger Bonecutter officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Letart.3 He was born on May 18, 1949 at Mason Co., West Virginia.2,3 He married Ann Unknown circa 1970.3 Eddie Dean Simpkins died on May 9, 2018 at West Virginia at age 68.3

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Violet Wood McNeil; a son, Walter, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Eva Jane Epperly, Fayetteville, Mrs. Sherry Feazell, Laurel, Md. and Mrs. Elfa Boggs, Beckley; four sisters, Mrs. Gracie Light and Mrs. Bess Allison, both of Fayetteville, Route 1, Mrs. Cleo Berry and Mrs. Callie Lester, both of Beckley; three grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Services will be held today at 11:30 a.m. in the Dodd - Payne Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Bill Menefee in charge. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. on June 19, 1977.5

Born Nov. 9, 1903, in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Casibanica and Nancy Smith McNeil. Mrs. Lester spent her childhood in southwestern West Virginia. She and her husband lived in several communities in southern West Virginia, moving to Detroit in 1953, She and her husband both retired from St. John's Hospital in Detroit in 1968. After retirement and a short stay in southern California, they returned to the Beckley area. Before moving to Michigan, she was a member of Harper Heights Missionary Baptist Church and after returning to Beckley she was a member of Maxwell Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, T. R. "Ray" Lester; two sons, Edward and Ronald lester; a daughter, Ovella Phebus; four sisters; and a brother. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include two daughters, Bernice L. Privett of Lancaster, Calif., and Janice K. Copus and her husband, Dick, of Sterling Heights, Mich; 12 grandchildren. 26 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, scattered throughout California, Michigan and Washington state. She is also survived by a niece, Eva Jane Epperly of Fayetteville; and her faithful friends, Tommy and Evelyn Brown of Beckley. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Maxwell Hill Baptist Church, Beckkey, with the Rev. Ken Killen officiating, Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.2 She was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5250 Robert Centre Byrd Drive, Prosperity, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.2 She was born on November 9, 1903 at West Virginia.1,5,2 As of circa 1919,her married name was Lester.6 She married Tidewell Raymond "Ray" Lester circa 1919.4,6,2 Callie Mae McNeil died on December 11, 2001 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 98.5,2

Dillon of Beckley; a sister, Laura Mitchum of Prosperity; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, Beckley with the Rev. Tim Roberts officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel of Faith, Beckley. on May 8, 2002.7

Light and wife, Anne of York Springs, James A. Light and wife, Connie of Abbottstown, David E. Light, Sr. and wife, Sharon of New Oxford, and Nancy Light Sheely and husband, Terry of New Oxford; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Wilbur, Clifford, and Virgil Light; and a sister, Virginia Light.
