His services to his Country included one tour of duty in Japan during the Korean Conflict, a separate tour in Korea; and three separate tours in Viet Nam. He has resided with his family in the Wilmington area since his retirement in 1973. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patsy M. Quesinberry (Pat) of the home; and four wonderful children to cherish his memory. They are Jennifer Lee Baucom (Mike) of Fuquay Varina, N.C., Sharon Quesinberry, Wilmington, N.C., William A. Quesinberry Jr. (Yvonne) of Atkinson, N.C., and Trish Quesinberry of Castle Hayne. Mr. Quesinberry also leaves four grandchildren whom he adored. They are Elizabeth Rachel White, and David Hamilton Baucom of Fuquay Varina, and Elizabeth Grace Quesinberry and Rebecca Marie Quesinberry, both of Atkinson, N.C. As per his request his remains were laid to rest in the Blue Ridge Mountains where he spent his childhood. Memorials may be made to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, 2101 Wilson Blvd., Suite 550, Arlingtn, Va., 22201, or to the church of one's choice. on November 20, 1995.4

Funeral services were held Saturday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with the Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. Burial was in Patrick Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Ronald Fain, Mark Harris, Wendell Fain, Terry Fain, Justin Fain, Zach Fain, Lowell Hopkins and Doug Light. Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Community Fellowship Church, P.O. Box 927, Stuart, Virginia 24171; or to Olive Grove Baptist Church, 3024 Olive Grove Church Road, Creedmoor, N.C. 27522.

Surviving are one daughter, Chloe Litten of Stuart; two sons, Bobby Lawless of Stuart and Mike Lawless of Patrick Springs; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jane Hazelwood of Stuart and Evelyn Stevens of Caramel, Maine. The funeral was held Saturday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with the Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. Burial was private. Pallbearers were Brian Lawless, Cheryl Dillon, Andy Shelton, Doug Light, Phillip Lawson, Kayla Dillon, Tracy Price and Pete Campbell. on January 18, 2009.2
