She attended the Montcalm Worship Center since 1972 with her husband who was Pastor, until he became disabled. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Ambrose Lane; a sister, Charlotte Underwood; and a brother, Lonnie Lonzoe Pigg, Jr; and her grandparents, Harvy and Mattie Phlegar and Robert and Laura Pigg. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Reverend Dewayne Houk officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was born on October 1, 1932 in Beason to the late Emitt and Lulie Huffman Jones. He was the last surviving member of his family. He was a retired pastor and was the former pastor of the Montcalm Family Worship Center. He was a retired route manager for Pepsi-Cola and was a veteran of the US Navy and served in the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Pigg Jones; son, Sgt. John A. Jones; son in law, Dennis (Danny) Thomason; brothers, Edgar, Ambrose, Grover and Tom Jones; sisters, Mary Thorne, Thelma Melvin, and Helen Fawland.
