Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Marlene Lopez of the home; a son, Brad Lopez of Axton; a daughter, Marsha Lopez of Axton; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Mateer officiating. A private burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park. Cockram worked as an automobile mechanic, specializing in trucks, buses and motor homes as a regional troubleshooter. He was a member of the Christ Methodist Church in Arlington where he was a greeter and usher, and was a member of Oakhurst Methodist Church in Oakhurst, Fla. Surviving are his wife, Pauline Pilson Cockram of the home; one daughter, Carol Brown of Boston, Mass; one brother, Delbert Kermil Cockram of Clearwater; one sister, Zulerma Grissom of Vienna; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor David Westmoreland officiating. Burial, with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans' Memorial Honor Guard, was in the Ross-Harbour United Methodist Church cemetery. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (1 until 2 p.m.) at the funeral home's chapel and other times at the residence of her daughter, 200 Duck Road in Stoneville. Interment will follow the service in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Craddock was born in the Leaksville section of Eden on June 20, 1929, to the late Thomas Whitt Gover and Vilater Shelton Gover. She was a graduate of Leaksville High School, class of 1946. Mrs. Craddock was a member of Leaksville Christian Church. She originally was employed at Central Telephone Company, where she met her husband, and later was employed at Morehead Hospital as a switchboard operator. Ethel enjoyed doing crafts, including sewing, knitting, and painting. She loved to horseback ride, and, most of all, she was an avid motorcycle owner and rider. Ethel is survived by her daughter, Karen Craddock Lemons and husband, Donald "Duck"; grandsons, Kevin Lemons and wife, Allison and Scott Lemons and wife, Becky; great-grandchildren, Jared Everette Lemons and Avery Earle Lemons; sister, Juanita Gover Crowder and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by husband, Joseph William Craddock, and sister, Shirley Gover Martin, and her beloved dog, Max. on January 9, 2018.3
