She was born Dec. 4, 1912, in Floyd County, Va., a daughter of the late Victor O. Light and Roxey Hall Light. She was a graduate of Beaver High School and attended Marshall College in Huntington. She was a member of First Christian Church and retired after 25 years from Flat Top National Bank of Bluefield. The last remaining member of her immediate family, Erma was preceded in death by her husband, L. Carlisle Floyd; sisters, Bonnie Light Whitlock, Elinor Light Wade, Allie 'Jimmie' Light Angel Reagin, and Edith Light Donnelly; and a great-nephew, David Teel. Survivors include her nieces and nephew, Freda Teel and husband, Dale of Christiansburg, Va., Lowell Wade and wife, Jeanette of Christiansburg, Nancy Whitlock of Afton, Va; brother-in-law, Brand Whitlock of Bluefield; great-nephews and niece, Scott Wade and wife, Melodee, Greg Wade and wife, Wanda, Sarah Teel Harris and husband, Tony Harris; great-great-nephew and nieces, Bryce and Meaghan Wade, Ellie K. Wade, Paige and Dustin Harris; and special friends and caregivers, Rita and Darrell Prince, who lovingly cared for her at her home and never left her side. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church with the Rev. C. Michael Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Green Valley. Friends may call from noon until the service hour Wednesday at the church.      Ester Ada Board Enumerated in the household of her daughter Shannie in the 1930 Floyd Co. Virginia Census. She was buried at Lawrence Cemetery, in a field off Aglar Drive, near Stonewall Community on Rt. 221, Floyd Co., Virginia.³ She was born on April 1, 1861 at Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ She married Solomon L. Lawrence, son of Jacob R. Lawrence and Nancy Rutrough, on April 9, 1884 at Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ As of April 9, 1884,her married name was Lawrence. Ester Ada Board died on March 9, 1936 at Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 74.

     Solomon L. Lawrence was buried at Lawrence Cemetery, in a field off Aglar Drive, near Stonewall Community on Rt. 221, Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,3 He was born on September 16, 1855 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^3,2 He married Ester Ada Board, daughter of Eli Solomon Board and Abigail "Abbie" Walters, on April 9, 1884 at Floyd Co., Virginia.² Solomon L. Lawrence died on August 20, 1929 at Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 73.³
