Mr. Edwards was stricken while at his work in the finishing department of the woolen mills. P. Robert Moriarty, of Lock Haven, acting as deputy for Clinton County Coroner Dean K. Wetzler Jr., of Mill Hall, certified the death as due to an acute coronary occlusion. Mr. Edwards was born in Lycoming County, March 21, 1919, a son of Emerson and Jennie Fritz Edwards. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Betty Wimmer Edwards; two sons: Earl and Alan, both at home; two sisters: Mrs. Dorothy Henry, Montoursville RD; and Mrs. Myrtle Pepperman, Williamsport; a brother: Lee Edwards, Jersey Shore RD 1; four half-sisters: Mrs. Ethel Allen, Trout Run; Mrs. Helen Pauhamus, Salladasburg; Mrs. Shirley Whipple, New Mexico; and Mrs. Donna Allen, Linden; three half-brothers: James Edwards, Trout Run; Ernest Edwards, Cheektowaga, New York; and Charles Edwards, Salladasburg. on June 18, 1974.2

He had been a resident of Montcalm and McComas for his entire life and was retired from the maintenance department at Bluefield State College. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis Dunn Jennings; daughter, Betty Pruett; granddaughter, Shelley; brothers, Woodrow, Clifford, Otis, Albert, Frankie, Kyle (Boogie), Gerald, Roland, Harley, and Bobby; and sisters, Flossie, Joyce and Janice. Survivors include: daughters, Priscilla (Earl) Turner of Montcalm, Drema (David) Hensley of Glenwood, Pamela Belcher of Montcalm; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; brothers, Walter Jennings of McComas, Billy Wayne Jennings of Morgantown; twin sister, Louise Hodge of Bluefield; a host of nieces and nephews. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where grandsons, Jason, Bobby, Jeff, Aaron, Montana, and Nathaniel will serve as pallbearers. She is survived by her husband Richard “Dickie” Pruett of the home; one son Aaron Pruett and wife Carrie of Princeton, daughter, Desarae Woolridge and Brad of Bluewell; James “Jimbo” Parks who was loved as a son; 2 grandchildren that she loved dearly and was the light of her life, Isabella (Izzy) Pruett and Paisley Pruett; and sisters, Priscilla Turner and Earl of Montcalm, Drema Hensley and David of Glenwood, and Pamela Belcher of Montcalm.3 Her married name was Pruett.3 She married Richard Pruett.3 Betty Marie Jennings was born on June 29, 1968 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.3 She died on March 19, 2017 at Montcalm, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 48.3
