     Gaylan Irene Saunders Gaylan Saunders (Gaye) Markham, 82, of Roanoke, passed on to be with the Lord Saturday, September 5, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malvin (Mark) Markham. Surviving are two sons, Howard King and John King; one daughter, Sharon (Shashe) Wilkerson and her husband, Rick; four grandchildren, Michael Daniel and wife, Teresa, Krista Goodwin and husband, Spanky, John (Lil John) King, and Michael King; three great-grandchildren, Devin and Madison Daniel and Cameron King. Gaye retired from Canteen Vending Company after 38 years of service. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.² She was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3 Her married name was King.¹ She married Charles Montrose "Charlie" King, son of Charles Blount "Charlie" King and Lorraine Norine "Mattie" Milton.¹ Gaylan Irene Saunders was born on March 22, 1933.³ She died on September 5, 2015 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 82.²
