Mrs. Gray was born April 25, 1931, in North Judson to Lester and Violet Wilcox Bunch. Her marriage was April 17, 1955, in Rochester, to John W. Gray, who survives. She had lived the majority of her life in this community. Also surviving are her father, of Rochester; three sisters, Mrs. William (Helen) Russell, Villa Park, Ill; Mrs. Alvin (Betty) Amann, Wabash; Mrs. Leland (Bonnie) Corbin, of Cincinnati; one brother, Billy Bunch, North Manchester. Her mother and two sons preceded in death. on January 25, 1974.3

Donna was born in Fort Wayne on June 15, 1918 to James T. and Mary Smith Rhoda. Donna was a proud member of the Rochester High School class of 1937. In 1944, Donna and John W. Gray were married in Akron. They were married for 10 years. Later, James "Digger" O'Dell and Donna were married in 1958. Their union of 42 years produced a beautiful daughter, Linda. Donna's primary work was as a loving mother and devoted housewife. She worked outside the home for the Rochester Telephone Company for 17 years, prior to the arrival of becoming a mom. During her telephone years, she was operator assistant and later became the chief operator. She retired in 1959 to spend time raising her family and being a wife. Hobbies enjoyed during her youth were dancing and traveling. More recently, she enjoyed reading novels of romance and watching movies, especially comedies and mysteries. She was a loyal lifetime member of the First Christian Church of Rochester. Donna is remembered for her sense of humor and caring for others, putting their needs before her own. She greeted friends and family with a warm smile that was contagious. Hallmark's Maxine was her heroine; Donna felt she reflected many of the same attributes with her spunk. Donna is survived by her daughter, Linda Beckman and husband Rob, Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Digger in 2000; brother, Jack Adams; sister-in-law, Helen Adams; and three sisters in infancy. Donna will be laid to eternal rest next to her beloved husband Digger in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery. on August 24, 2011.1
