Edgar C. Hall was buried at Sunset Cemetery, 501 South Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.2 He was born on September 3, 1882 at Virginia.1,2 He died on June 16, 1905 at Pepper, Barbour Co., West Virginia, at age 22.3,2 He The life of Flagman Ed Hall was crushed out in a freight wreck near Pepper last yesterday evening. Hall was riding the front car of the train which was backing at a considerable speed when the axle on the car broke, throwing him on the track and piling the wreckage of three cars over him. A number of cares were derailed and the track completely blocked for several hours, holding both the east and west bound trains. The wrecking crew was called from Bluefield and had considerable difficulty in clearing the wreckage and replacing cars that were derailed. The remains of Hall were brought to his city on No 3, which arrived at ten thirty o'clock. They were taken to Crockett's undertaking establishment where they were prepared for shipment to his home at Christiansburg today. Hall was a single man and made his home with his parents at Christiansburg. He has many friends in this city who mourn his untimely end. on June 17, 1905.3
