Survivors include his wife, Donna K. French of the home; daughter, Jenna French also of the home; father, Wayne French of Eden; step-daughters, Danah Watson of Eden, Toni Dunovant and husband Ross of Eden; step-son, Terry Watson of Charlotte; grandson, Jayden Ross Dunovant of Eden; sister, Denise F. Pruitt and husband Greg of Eden; brother, Bryant French and wife Bridget of Eden; nephew, Braxton French; niece, Bailey Redd; and grandmother, Helen French of Ruffin. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents. on August 13, 2006.⁵

     Douglas Eugene Kress was buried at Shiloh Cemetery, Shiloh, Pulaski Co., Virginia.⁵ He Douglas Eugene Kress, age 64, of Dublin passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012 at his home. Born December 12, 1947 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Frank Kress, Jr. and Gretta Clara McCoy Kress. A sister, Edna Sue Kress also preceded him in death. Surviving, Wife, Lois Patricia Akers Kress, Dublin. Daughter, Gretta Jo Gemmell, Pulaski; Sons, Ronnie Akers, Dublin & Donald Akers, Texas; Uncle, Stuart Dean Kress, Dublin; Aunts, Claudia Crowder and Josephine Bishop, Pulaski, & Joyce Nester, Dublin; Mother–in-law, Lula Turpin, Florida. A Graveside Memorial service will be held at Shiloh Cemetery.⁵ He was born on December 12, 1947 at Pulaski, Pulaski Co., Virginia.^1,2,4,5 He married Betty Lou Wilson, daughter of Issac Eldridge Wilson and Lucy Ellen Stump, on December 14, 1965 at Henry Co., Virginia.¹ Douglas Eugene Kress and Betty Lou Wilson were divorced on July 25, 1968 at Henry Co., Virginia.² Douglas Eugene Kress died on May 31, 2012 at Dublin, Pulaski Co., Virginia, at age 64.^3,5

     Harry James Austin was buried at Mountain View Memorial Park (also known as Mountain View Burial Park), 5970 Grassy Hill Road, Boones Mill, Franklin Co., Virginia.^2,3,5 He was born on June 21, 1946 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^2,4 He Harry James Austin, 13, of Rt. 2, Boones Mill, died today at local hospital. He was a student at Cave Spring High School. Surviving are parents, and Mrs. Berkley A. Austin; four brothers, Airman, 1/C Thomas B. Austin, Macon, Ga., and Richard M., John L. and Howard C. Austin, at home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Austin; Franklin County, and Mrs. Bessie Beckner, Roanoke County. Burial will be in Mt. View, Franklin County. Pallbearers will be Leo and Roscoe Meador, Donald and Larry Austin, Charles Welcher, Gene Jones. on April 29, 1960.⁵ He died on April 29, 1960 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 13.^2,5,3
