She was born Sept. 12, 1926, to Charles and Rosaline Holley in Columbus, Ohio. She attended school there and graduated from Columbus High School. She married James Keys in 1952 in Columbus, where they made their living for several years. They moved to the Flathead Valley in 1971. She was a very loving and caring person. One of her favorite things was family get togethers. She, was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed, Survivors include her husband, James, at the family home in Kalispell; a son, Michael Keys, of Kalispell; a daughter, Tamela Vezane, of Kalispell; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Holley and William Holley, Ft. Meyers, Fla; and a sister, Evelyn Elliot, also of Fort Meyers. Burial will be at Conrad Cemetery. on January 5, 1995.²

     Michael Lee Keys Michael L. Keys, 47, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at his home in Kalispell. Mike was born Jan. 26, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio, to James and Alice Holley Keys. He was raised in the Flathead Valley and graduated from Flathead High School. He had co-owned a logging company and tree service. Survivors include his father, James Keys; son, Jonathan J. Keys; a daughter, Summer Rose Keys; his sister, Tamela M. Vezane; fiancee, Lucinda Peeler; and numerous other relatives. Burial will follow at C.E.      Ricki Dennis "Rick" Vezane Our beloved Ricki made his transition into the higher realms on Oct. 12, 2015, with his son John and his daughter in law Desi, by his side. Ricki was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on July 7, 1947, to Ronna and Alex Vezane. He lived in Reno, Nevada, from 1960 until 1964, when he joined the U.S. Army on July 8, 1964, one day after he turned 17 years old. Ricki served 31 months at the U.S. Army base in Baumholder, Germany. He joined the Army National Guard of Montana on May 20, 1978, and received his Certificate of Retirement from the United States Army on July 7, 1999, with the rank of master sergeant. Ricki is survived by his mother, Ronna Vezane; sister, Letitia-Vezane Herman; stepbrother, Dan Herman; brother, Gary, his two sons, Lance Vezane and John Vezane and their wives, Amy and Desi; as well as his nephew, Travis Vezane-Carter and wife, Heather, and niece, Kristina Vezane. Ricki adored his two granddaughters, Isabela and Zoey, and his grandnephews, Grady, Evrette and Kreston. He was dearly loved by all his family.      Douglas Allen Buck Douglas Allen Buck went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 11, 2020. He was born on Jan. 2, 1956, to John and Dorothy Buck. The eldest of seven children, Doug was born and lived nearly his entire life in the Flathead Valley. Being born and raised in the Flathead instilled a great love of nature in Doug. As a child, he spent many hours fishing and camping with his family. He worked as a sawyer and heavy equipment operator, which allowed him to spend many long days in the woods covered in dirt and pitch. During his life, he also built log homes, was a mechanic, ran a salvage yard and was a miner. His picture was even featured in the Wall Street Journal with an article written about the gold mine Doug started with two of his lifelong friends, Michael and Jim Keys. Doug developed rheumatoid arthritis in his early thirties and endured constant pain throughout the remainder of his life, however, he seldom let this get him down. A self-proclaimed “incurable optimist,” no task was too great with a little ingenuity and some help from the Lord. Even though he was in a wheelchair he never let it stop him from doing what he wanted to do, whether it be running his chainsaw/sawmill, weed eating or gardening. He was truly unstoppable. Doug was fiercely outspoken, loyal and generous. He was a faithful believer in the Lord, loving father, proud grandfather and devoted son. He loved to learn and was an avid reader and a collector of all things. Due to these attributes, Doug’s knowledge covered many topics. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He is preceded in death by his sister Ruthie; son JoJoe; and mother Dorothy. He is survived by his father John Buck; daughters Jennifer Grande and Morgan Sutton; sisters Vicki Swartzenburger and Josie Buck; brothers Kenneth Buck, Ronnie Buck and Robert Buck; and the true loves of his life, his grandchildren: Gracie, Colter, Lilly, Michael, Nolan, Garrett, Rory and Will (Little Doug). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and wonderful lifelong friends.      Joseph Lee Buck was buried at Conrad Memorial Cemetery, 641 Conrad Drive, Kalispell, Flathead Co., Montana.^3,4 He Joseph Lee “Jo Jo” Buck, 36, “was called to heaven” on Thursday, June 20, 2013, in Deer Lodge. Jo Jo was born and raised in Kalispell where he was surrounded by numerous friends and family. Jo Jo had a love and loyalty to his family like no other, and if he called you his friend, he considered you family. Jo Jo was preceded in death by his Aunt Ruthie, Grandma Alice, Uncle Mike and Jim. “They are all standing at Heaven’s gate to welcome him.” He is survived by his parents and biggest supporters, Tamela Keys and Douglas Buck; sister, Jennifer and her children, Gracie, Colter, Michael and Garrett; brother, John and his daughter, Isabela; sister, Morgan and her children, Lilly and Noland; grandparents, Jack and Dorothy Buck; grandfather, James Keys; cousin, Johnny, who was more like a brother to him; and numerous other dear friends and family. “There are no words to express our love for Jo Jo and he will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever. Jo Jo, you are now free.’” Burial at C.E. Hall of Pearisburg, Va; two daughters, Wendy Hodges of Pearisburg, Va., and Courtney Hall of Princeton, W.Va; two brothers, Kenneth Hall and wife Linda of Princeton, W.Va., and Keith Hall and wife Diane of Knoxville, Tenn; three sisters, Kathy Kelley and husband Brad of Oakvale, W.Va., Teresa Ponder and husband Roy of Alaska, and Brenda Helton and husband Mike of Lerona, W.Va; two grandchildren, Haley Salmons and Jordan Hall; four stepchildren, Tina Allen, Joe Allen, Donna Salmons, and Arthur Allen.
