In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Vest. on October 19, 2001.⁴

Greg was born June 24, 1962 in Daniels, West Virginia, to the late Billy and Billie Jean (Worley) Vest. Greg was a 1980 graduate of Lakewood High School (Licking County JVS). He was employed by National Trail Raceway and was an avid drag racing and NASCAR fan. He is survived by a son, Roger (Nicole) Vest of Gahanna; daughter, Heidi (Jimmy) Meek of Nevada; three grandchildren, Carson, Abby and Chloe (on the way); brothers and sisters, Charles (Joyce) Vest of Newark, Donnie Vest of Florida, Jimmy (Kayleen) Vest of Texas, Sharon (Dave) Faine of Newark, Randy (Joanna) Vest of Newark, Sue Vest of Hebron, Jeff (Kim) Vest of Pataskala, Rusty (Tina) Vest of Florida, Beth Vest of Newark, Scotty Vest of Thornville and Lisa (Todd) Walker of Hebron; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael "Pokey" Vest. A family service will be held at a later date with inurnment in Newark Memorial Gardens. on April 26, 2011.⁵
