Interment will be in Rose Hill. Mr. Haley died at 3 a.m. this morning in a local hospital following a long illness Services are to be conducted by Rev. H. E. Cook of Forgan, assisted by Rev. Charles Reed of Amber and Rev. Miller Jr., pastor of the local church. Mr. Haley, born July 10, 1889 in Grant county, Ark., had been a resident of this area for many years He is survived by his wife, Christie; one son, Wilson of route two, Amber; three daughters, Mrs. J. A. Rohrer of Stanberry, Mo., Mrs. Cloyd Alsup of route one, Amber, and Miss Toy Lee Haley of the home address; one sister, Mrs. Denver Scurlock of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Hosea Haley Palm Springs, Calif., and Rev. J. A. Haley of Kansas City, Mo; and six grandchildren. on October 1, 1947.3 He died on October 1, 1947 at Chickasaw, Grady Co., Oklahoma, at age 58.3

Rohrer in 1940 in Arcadia, Mo., and they moved to Springfield in 1951 where she began teaching in St. Joseph Elementary School. She was the first lay person ever to teach in a Catholic school in the area. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and past Regent of the Daughters of Isabella. She was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post, Conception Junction, Mo., and a member of the Springfield Quilt Guild. She is survived by her husband, James A. Rohrer, of the home; a son and his James A. Jr. and April Rohrer, Satellite Beach, Fla; three daughters, Sharon Grant, Mary Catherine Cooper and her husband, James, and Charlotte Lee and her husband, John, all of Springfield; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. on October 30, 1995.2

He was a past Commander for the American Legion Post in Conception, Mo., and a member of the 40 and 8 and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marcia; his daughter, Bonnie Rector; two brothers; and a sister. He is survived by his son, J.A. Rohrer and his wife, April, Satellite Beach, Fla; three daughters, Sharon Grant, Mary C. Cooper and her husband James, and Charlotte Lee, all of Springfield, Mo; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery. on December 28, 2003.5

Sharon Ann Rohrer Sharon Ann Grant, Dec 9, 1941 - Nov 11, 2023. Sharon Ann Grant was born to James A. Rohrer and Marcia E. Rohrer on December 9, 1941. She passed after a long fought battle with COPD. She was an avid quilter, donating much of her work to her church and people in need. Sharon graduated from Draughon’s Business School and worked most of her life doing secretarial work. She retired as an employee of the state of Missouri. Sharon was preceded in death by her sister Bonnie A. Rohrer and her brother James A. Rohrer Jr. She is survived by her two sisters; Mary Catherine Cooper and Charlotte Louise Rohrer. Both of her sisters are from Springfield, MO. A son, Robert J. Meek and his wife Yesenia live in Honduras; two daughters. Marcia Bodden, her husband John of Mission Texas and Jennifer McDaniel and her husband Mike from San Diego, CA. Her grandchildren include; Leonore, John and Samuel Bodden; Connor, Cole, Cooper and Curran McDaniel.
