     Misty Marie Sowers Misty M. Sowers, 36, passed away to a better place on October 4, 2014. She is survived by her children, Forrest Cole Warren and Kayla Marie Watts. She is also survived by her father, Stephen R. Sowers of Windsor, VA; mother Wanda W. Sowers of Newport News; and brother S. Shawn Sowers of Newport News.³ She was born on August 1, 1978 at Newport News, Virginia.² She died on October 4, 2014 at Virginia at age 36.³

     George Irving Bane Jr. George I. Bane, 74, passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2023. Born in South Boston, VA, his family moved to the peninsula where he became a long-time resident of Newport News, VA. George graduated from Warwick High School in 1967 and attended a vocational-technical school and went on to have a long career as a plumber and pipefitter. He retired from James River Mechanical, and then focused on his new role of full-time Paw-Paw, a job he described as, “having crappy pay, but the greatest rewards.” George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a most loyal friend to many. In his spare time, he enjoyed painting, drawing, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and being the number one fan in the stands of his grandchildren’s sports activities. George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alice Bane; brother, Jerry W. Bane; and best friend, Clell “Rusty” Hart. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara C. Bane; son, George Matthew Bane (Heidi); daughter, Ashley Westphal Swain (Robert); grandchildren, Tyler M. Bane (Chandlyr Blake), Rilee L. Bane, McKenna L. Swain, and Emerson A. Swain; great-grandchildren, Bodhi M. and Blakely M. Bane; sister, Carolyn Mitchell; aunt, Myrtle Seay; and brother-in-law Jack Carper, II.³ He was born on March 31, 1948 at South Boston, Halifax Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 He married Nancy Marie Sowers, daughter of Houston Ray "Hoot" Sowers Sr. and Edna Marie Epperly, on July 3, 1969 at Newport News, Virginia.¹ George Irving Bane Jr. and Nancy Marie Sowers were divorced on November 17, 1971 at Newport News, Virginia.² George Irving Bane Jr. died on March 30, 2023 at Newport News, Virginia, at age 74.³

     Virginia Mae Sink was buried at Peters Creek Cemetery, Cove Road, Roanoke, Virginia.^4,2,5 She was born on December 12, 1918 at Little Creek, Franklin Co., Virginia.^4,1,2,3 As of August 21, 1938,her married name was Caldwell.¹ She married Marion Lelend Caldwell Sr., son of Samuel Looney Caldwell and Fannie Demaris Caldwell, on August 21, 1938 at Hollins, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2,5 Virginia Mae Sink died on September 18, 1983 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 64.^4,2 She Mrs. Virginia Sink Caldwell, age 64, of 6627 Brookfield Road, N.W. died Sunday, September 18, 1983 in a local hospital. She was a member of North Roanoke Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Marion L. Caldwell; two sons, Colonel Marion Leland Caldwell, Jr., U.S. Army, Belgium; Gary Smith Caldwell of Roanoke; one foster son, Norman T. Harvey, Jr. of Troutville; seven grandchildren. Burial will be in Peters Creek Cemetery. on September 20, 1983.⁵

     Virginia Carol Dorsey Carol Dorsey Forloine, beloved Mother, MomMom. Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and friend, changed her address and moved to heaven on July 14, 2022. Carol was born a coal miners daughter August 22, 1938 in House #43 in the bottoms at Boomer, WVA to Joseph Clarence Dorsey and Annie May Livesay. She was the 5th daughter, born with a twin---the only boy in this coal mining/farming family. She attended Boomer Elementary for 1st and 2nd grade. Then the family moved to Lockwood, WVA, where she had the pleasure of attending 2 different one room schoolhouses. The first was Lyon Creek Elementary for 3rd grade, then Dorsey Elementary for 4th-8th. Then on she went to Nicholas County High School, where she graduated in 1955. Carol married in 1956 and moved to Texas, then to New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and then back to Texas, where she lived for 46 years. She worked for many years at Sears Catalog store, then Foleys Department Store until she retired in the year 2000. She enjoyed singing in her church choir, participating in senior outings and game days, and time with her family and friends. She is survived by sons Timothy Forloine of Baltimore, MD, Steve Forloine of Lockwood, WVA and daughter Shari Kuiken of Frisco, Texas as well as 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her sister Beulah Summers of Peters Creek, WVA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Rose, Ruby and Junie, brother Carl and daughter Donna Shaddox. Burial at Miller Cemetery, Kesslers Cross Lane.² She was buried at Miller Cemetery, Keslers Cross Lanes, Nicholas Co., West Virginia.^2,3 She was born on August 22, 1938 at Boomer, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^1,3,2,4 As of November 14, 1956,her married name was Forloine.¹ She married Ernest Scranton Forloine, son of Scranton Alfred Forloine and Verla Mae Caldwell, on November 14, 1956 at Drennen, Nicholas Co., West Virginia.¹ Virginia Carol Dorsey and Ernest Scranton Forloine were divorced on February 11, 1983 at Harris Co., Texas.⁵ Virginia Carol Dorsey died on July 14, 2022 at Texas at age 83.^3,2

     Donna Machelle Forloine Donna Machelle Shaddox passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2018. Donna had a huge heart for animals, helping people, and loved her family greatly. Among the many hobbies she excelled at, Donna thrived at and was a proud member of the Seahorse Water Aerobics. She enjoyed baking, decorating, antiques, and always sought out people to heartfully care for. She had a contagious laugh and a bright, beautiful smile that would light up the room and words can’t begin to describe how much she will be missed. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Steve Shaddox; her daughter, Jacklyn Hypes; her son, Joey Hypes & wife Ashley; her mother, Carol Forloine, and also numerous loving family and friends.¹ She was born in 1967.¹ As of December 13, 1985,her married name was Hypes.² She married Dale Glen Hypes on December 13, 1985.¹ Donna Machelle Forloine and Dale Glen Hypes were divorced on August 25, 1992 at Harris Co., Texas.² As of February 16, 1993,her married name was Shaddox.³ Donna Machelle Forloine married Steven Kelly "Steve" Shaddox on February 16, 1993 at Harris Co., Texas.^1,3 Donna Machelle Forloine died on October 28, 2018 at Kentucky.¹
