     Mae Frances Jacobs was buried at Gretna Burial Park, Gretna, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.1,2 She was born on February 2, 1921 at Sandy Level, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.1,2,4 As of December 24, 1941,her married name was Owen.3 She married Claude Swanson Owen, son of William David "Will" Owen and Mary Kate McDowell, on December 24, 1941 at Dry Fork, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.1,2,5,3 Mae Frances Jacobs Mae Jacobs Owen, 94, of Gretna entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 21, 2015, at Chatham Health and Rehab Center. Born February 2, 1921, in the Sandy Level area of Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Douglas Jacobs and Dennie Wright Jacobs. She was predeceased by her husband, Claude Swanson Owen; six brothers, Rucker Jacobs, Clanton Jacobs, Graves Jacobs, Otha Jacobs, Everette Jacobs and Parker Jacobs; and two sisters, Doris Jacobs and Gladys Jacobs Bryant. Mrs. Owen was a dedicated wife and homemaker. She graduated from Climax High School in 1937. She was an active member of Greenbay Christian Church where she served as deaconess and secretary for many years. Later she became an active member of Gretna Christian Church where she served as deaconess and sang in the choir for several years. She was an active member of the ladies fellowship where she was responsible for sending cards until a few years ago. She is survived by one daughter, Ann Owen Boswell and her husband, Clifton of Chatham; three grandchildren, Petrina Williams and her husband, Willy, C.J. Boswell and his wife, April and Monica Lewis and her husband, James; eight great-grandchildren, Shane Williams and his wife, Erin, Hobie Williams, Taylor Boswell, Tiffany Boswell, Trey Boswell, Alyssa Lewis, James Thomas Lewis and Arianna Lewis; one acquired granddaughter, Linda Chaney Hildrup; and four great-great-grandchildren, Kayden Williams, Carter Williams, Denver Williams and Alexis Williams. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park. on August 21, 2015.2 She died on August 21, 2015 at Chatham, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, at age 94.1,2

     Clifton James Boswell Sr. was born on April 25, 1945 at Danville, Virginia.3,4 He married Charlotte Ann Owen, daughter of Claude Swanson Owen and Mae Frances Jacobs, on July 9, 1965 at Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.1,2,4 Clifton James Boswell Sr. died on February 20, 2017 at Greensboro, Guilford Co., North Carolina, at age 71.4 He Clifton James Boswell, Sr., 71, of Chatham, entered into eternal rest with his Lord and savior on Monday, February 20, 2017, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. Born April 25, 1945, in Danville, he was a son of the late Aubrey Boswell, Sr. and Bernice Herndon Boswell. Mr. Boswell was a member of Greenbay Christian Church and truck driver with Richfood, Auto Truck Transport and Great Coastal Express for whom he drove over two million miles. He coached the Civitan Little League baseball team in Danville for eight years. Clifton enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, mowing the grass, reading, especially westerns and Stephen King novels, and watching movies and TV. He is survived by his wife, Ann Owen Boswell of the residence; one son, C.J. Boswell and wife, April of Oliver Springs, Tenn; two daughters, Petrina Williams and husband, Willy of Sandusky, Ohio, and Monica Lewis of Chatham; one brother, Charles A. Boswell, Jr. and wife, Hester of Colonial Heights; eight grandchildren, Shane Williams and wife, Erin, Hobie Williams, Taylor Boswell, Tiffany Boswell, Trey Boswell, Alyssa Lewis, James Thomas Lewis and Arianna Lewis; and five great-grandchildren, Kayden Williams, Carter Williams, Alexis Williams, Denver Williams and Roslyn Williams. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park. on February 21, 2017.4
