Betty Jean Mann Betty J. Stephens, August 23, 1937 – September 14, 2021. Betty Jean Stephens (nee, Mann) was a child of the streets along with her seven siblings and her single mother, growing up on the North Side of Pittsburgh back in the early 1940’s. The talk of War was everywhere, and the soot from steel mills operating at full capacity obscured the sun on most days. But this family had their own battles on a daily – even hourly basis, and so global events rarely penetrated the sphere of this family. Scrabbling for food. Living in hand-me-downs held together with tireless effort of the women in this family learning how to sew out of need, not as a hobby. Sleeping in shared beds with a roof over their heads was more often than not a miracle in and of itself. Betty leaves behind her loving sisters Doris Karpinski, Lois Guenther and her brothers Richard Spencer and Thomas (Patricia) Mann. But they were strong together, a feared force in the neighborhood and school. They fought and scrapped with each other as siblings do, but they also stood up for each other in the face of incredible adversity. This was the childhood of Betty, and she thrived in it, becoming one of the toughest girls in the neighborhood. But for as tough as she was, that brought out her heart and her compassion just as powerfully, and she was a Force to be respected. The years sailed by, the Great War had been won with another seething battle halfway around the world escalating, and yet just before Thanksgiving in 1955, a close friend of Anthony (Tony) Stephens introduced him to this “remarkable girl”, and these two youngsters found each other and never let go in the decades that whizzed by. Betty was striking in her beauty, and she completely captivated Tony. For Tony, it was love at first sight. For him, Betty was “The One”, and he courted her with enthusiasm, and amazingly, Betty accepted his overtures and they grew close, and in May of 1956, Tony and Betty joined in marriage and became One, and from that union came three children and over 65 years of togetherness; still holding hands, still close, sharing in the strength of that bond that can only be the fruit of God’s Hand. Mom was strong, opinionated, and vociferous; always seeking a better life for her family and pushing us to a moral standard she learned the Hard Way. Tend to chores. Mind your mouth, always. Love and respect your parents, always. Love God, always. Learn from your mistakes and Do. Not. Lie. I remember so many times I’d come home from school to find my dresser drawers scattered across the bedroom because of my messiness; my bed stripped and tossed because of how sloppy it was made. She held us to a standard and we learned, often in dramatic fashion. That never changed over the years. She softened her hard edges, but her sharp, often acerbic wit never took a day off. Her work ethic was only matched by Tony’s, and that was indelibly imprinted on all her children. Mom, we will miss you more than words can convey, but… We take solace in the knowledge that you are at peace and in the presence of God. Let’s all hope nobody annoys her in Heaven. The Loving wife to Anthony sharing their 65 years together, they raised three children Lawrence (Maryclare) Stephens, Daniel (Michele) Stephens and Karen (Randell) Vaughn. Her legacy will live through her cherished grandchildren; Stephanie Sheldon, Amanda Andrews, Nicole Wagner, Andrea (Michael) Reams, Andrew Swarmer, Eric Stephens, Megan Stephens and her great grandchildren; Andrew, Elena, Garrett, Olivia, Audrey, Ember, Eidon, Amelia and Cole. Proceeded in death by her sisters Audrey Mann, Helen Morelli and Marian Krause.2 She was born on August 23, 1937 at Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.2 As of May, 1956,her married name was Stephens.2 She married Anthony "Tony" Stephens in May, 1956.2 Betty Jean Mann died on September 14, 2021 at Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, at age 84.2,5

Anthony "Tony" Stephens1,2

M, b. June 23, 1935, d. November 2, 2021
Anthony "Tony" Stephens Anthony Stephens, June 23, 1935 – November 2, 2021. "He sits at his drafting table, an empty sheet of paper stretches out before him, beckoning him, taunting him; the pure white a vast, arid landscape where he will express his vision, regardless of whether the paying client will like it. It’s still his vision. The problem is that he’s drawing a blank. He taps his charcoal stick absently as he glances out the window on a sunny Saturday morning, his mind remembers the joy he and his wife celebrated the day they moved into their new, split-level house with their three young kids. The place was perfect with a rolling yard and an amazing multi-leveled hill right behind the house. He sees himself scooching on a sled down that hill with his kids; the tier right in the middle serving as a launch to get the sled airborne. Not too fast so as to scare the kids, but fun with a capital F. He smiles, looking forward to that scene playing out in the not-too-distant future. He admonishes himself for being frivolous, but that scene playing out in his mind is something that he’s dreamed about since he took his beautiful wife’s hand in marriage. The aroma of fresh-brewed coffee compels him; reminds him to snag a cup of that deliciousness, and so he kicks himself away to wander over to the coffee station, just in time for the brew to finish. He absently fills his mug, the memory of laughter with his amazing wife from the night before echoing in his mind. He sees her face, and not for the first time he’s still amazed that such a remarkable person chose to spend her life with him. He offers up a prayer of thanks. Having to work overtime on a Saturday when he could and should be home with his family was painful, but it was so very much needed, and so he sets his narrow shoulders and makes his way back to his drafting table, sipping carefully. Time to make magic, and in so doing, make a better life for his family. Tony Stephens picks up his stick of charcoal and does precisely that. He makes magic, bringing his vision to life on that vast sheet of paper. And he takes care of his family with his selfless work, quiet confidence, determined love and dedication that will not be shaken; not now and not ever." Anthony was the loving husband to the late Betty Stephens who passed away on September 14, 2021 sharing their 65 years together, they raised three children Lawrence (Maryclare) Stephens, Daniel (Michele) Stephens and Karen (Randell) Vaughn. Robert Wayne "Bob" Fisher Sr.1,2

M, b. November 9, 1955, d. October 22, 2017
Robert Wayne "Bob" Fisher Sr. Robert Wayne Fisher Sr. of Red Oak, Texas was born on November 9, 1955 in Dallas, Texas and raised by James Oliver Fisher and Alma (Tittle) Fisher. He passed from this life on Sunday, October 22, 2017. Known as Wayne or Bob to friends and loved ones, he was a very caring and giving man. He was always willing to help anyone that was down on their luck, especially children. On more than one occasion he bought Christmas presents or school clothes, among other things, for people in need. He was a kind hearted man and helped raise and provide for many less fortunate. He was a self-made man, determined to provide a better life for his family. Through nothing more than hard work and dedication, he became an entrepreneur. He opened his own business, which provided him a tremendous sense of pride and accomplishments in his life. The business was a staple in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for over 30 years. At one point or another, the business provided employment for both his son’s and numerous family member and friends until his health declined. You could hear Bob coming from a mile away as he loved to whistle and hum tunes as he went about his day. He was a passionate man with an amazing sense of humor. He truly cherished the little things in life, which brought him the most joy. He firmly believed a handshake was a promise made to keep. To always look someone in the eyes when you speak. You can do something right the first time or you can do it again, the choice is yours. If you do not have money in your pocket to pay for it, you probably do not need it. Robert Wayne Fisher Sr. was an old soul, some would say from a different time. He passed down wisdom and knowledge to anyone he met. To know him was to love him and he will be missed. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Sheri Fisher. He is survived by mother Stella Cutshaw; sons Robert Fisher Jr. & wife Lori, Brian Fisher & wife Crystal; daughter Carrie Argumaniz, brother Roy Fisher; sisters Sue Bailey and Barsha Swords; 5 grandchildren Nathan Fisher, Amanda Fisher, Brian Fisher, Jr., Chase Argumaniz, & Brody Fisher.3 He was buried at Hillcrest Cemetery, Forney, Kaufman Co., Texas.2 He was born on November 9, 1955 at Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas.1,2,3 He married Charlene Marie Morelli, daughter of Charles Frank Morelli and Helen Marie Spencer, on February 1, 1973.4 Robert Wayne "Bob" Fisher Sr. and Charlene Marie Morelli were divorced on September 9, 1992 at Dallas Co., Texas.4 Robert Wayne "Bob" Fisher Sr. died on October 22, 2017 at Texas at age 61.2,3
