Gail was a retired Comptroller, accountant and caregiver to both her husband and mother. Born on September 5, 1943; Gail was a daughter of the late John Carrington Harris and the late Josephine Smith Harris. She was a kind and wonderful woman, who always tried to put her family first. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. on March 27, 1997.6

He was preceded in death by his parents, C. Henry Robertson Sr. and Mary Smith Robertson; and sisters, Ann R. Gehry and Judy R. Henretta. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Vaughan Robertson; son, Charles H.E. Robertson III and wife, Judy; grandson, Charles H.E. Robertson IV; and his brother, Patrick L. Robertson. Charles was born in Lynchburg, Va., and grew up near Lynchburg College. He loved to fish and spent as much time possible at College Lake with his faithful dog, 'Speck,' in a canoe he and his father built. The family moved to Williamsburg in 1953, when his father was transferred by C & P Telephone Company from Lynchburg. A 1955 graduate of Matthew Whaley School, he was the co-captain of the basketball team. After graduating, he worked for a short time with Colonial Williamsburg, as an apprentice brick mason, with A.T. (Red) Vaughan. But he wanted to follow in his fathers' footsteps and work for the telephone company. He received the call from C&P Telephone Company on 4-9-56 and worked until his retirement on 12-26-1992. He loved the 'Company.' During this time, he was drafted into the Army for a two year tour. He spent 13 months in Korea and returned to the Company after an Honorable Discharge. He loved working with his hands, with wood, electrical, brick, plumbing, etc. He could repair or build anything. He was an avid gun collector- Winchesters and Colts. He loved rabbit hunting with family and friends, and the Beagles who did all the work. He even learned to play golf so he and the family could play together. A special 'Thank You' to Dr. John Miller of PCI and his chemotherapy nurse, Tamara. on August 2, 2011.5

Dr. Eugene Louis Gehry Jr. Dr. Eugene Louis Gehry, Jr., 89, of Orangeburg, SC, passed away February 9, 2015 at his residence. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at Crestlawn Cemetery on Columbia Road in Orangeburg. Dr. Gehry was born February 1, 1926 in Orangeburg, a son of the late Eugene Louis Gehry, Sr. and Magdaline Thomas Gehry. After graduating from Orangeburg High School in 1943 he entered the US Navy during WWII and was stationed aboard the USS Crag AM214 of the Pacific Fleet. He retired from the Navy in 1986 and again in 2006 as a Captain and Flight Surgeon. He was a graduate of the Citadel and The Medical University of South Carolina Class of 1952. He interned at Orangeburg Hospital from 1952 through 1953. He was two-time Commander of the American Legion, Past Commander of the VFW Post 2779 and life member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was also a long time member of St Paul's United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Eugene Louis Gehry, III and his friend, Freida Kohlmeyer, of Orangeburg; a daughter, Annette Gehry Dinkins and her husband, John, of Elloree and three grandchildren.2 He was buried at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 4830 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, Orangeburg Co., South Carolina.1,2 He married Ann Marie Robertson, daughter of Charles Henry Edward Robertson Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Smith.4 Dr. Eugene Louis Gehry Jr. was born on February 1, 1926 at Orangeburg, Orangeburg Co., South Carolina.1,2,3 He died on February 9, 2015 at Orangeburg, Orangeburg Co., South Carolina, at age 89.1,2
